Alternative wedding dress

Hi o was just wondering if anyone else is not bothering with a ‘wedding dress’ ?
This will be my second wedding so I’m doing nearly everything different and rather than the big dress which I found very uncomfortable last time, I’m having an off the shelf lovely maxi dress in a dark blue / grey colour. We’re having a very small wedding but then a big party a few days later. I will wear my dress to the party also.
I’m now wondering if I will regret my choice and should look for something abit more fussy. Thanks

    2nd time round for us too, I wasn't going to have a wedding dress per se but have opted for a tea length one that is not too puffy, may be worth a look and then you can use the other one for the party

    It’s my first time but I don’t think I want a big puffy dress or something too big and long and I want to be able to dance so I’m thinking tea length as well. Something like this Alternative wedding dress 1

    I have gone for a Maya Bridal design. It isnt your typical wedding dress. Go with what you feel comfortable in, im sure you will look beautiful Smiley smile x

    Thanks I’ve gone for more of a prom dress. It was an absolute bargain too. I could actually wear this one again. I’m very conscious I will be in the middle of the town in the week and really don’t want people gawking at me 🤣

    I know exactly what you mean as thats why I didnt want a wedding dress. We are only having a very low key wedding. Hope all goes well for you, good luck Smiley smile x

    It's my first time but we are going low key. I found that a lot of bridesmaid dresses are quite bridal of you don't mind not going white! I got a beautiful silver one and I'm really excited to wear it for my sparkly winter wedding.

    Sure you're going to look beautiful. I had a wobble with mine too, I think the whole "white dress" thing is drummed into us all from a young age! Think of all the ladies out there who wore a big white dress and then couldn't enjoy their wedding day as it was too restrictive!
