Alternatives to fireworks?

Hi everyone

I'm hoping to get married at The Priory Barn in Little Wymondley (I haven't booked yet) but they don't allow fireworks (cows don't like the noise) or those wish lanterns (danger of setting fire to farmer's field). Does anyone have any alternative ideas? I really want to wow my guests with something unusual!

    How about getting sparklers for all your guests, or have you thought about hiring a fire eater as entertainment!?

    Hi ya and welcome

    I've had this problem a couple of times and I put on a fire dancer show. I have two fire dancers perform a choreographed set for about 4-5 mins to music and then they are just in the back ground/ performing for another 55 mintues. It costs me only £100 for the two dancers for 1 hour, bargain when you think about the cost of fireworks!

    Thank you all for your ideas – I quite like the idea of fire dancers!

    I got engaged at Christmas and we're planning a wedding for September 2011. Quite far off at the moment, but it's so exciting thinking about planning! x
