    ? Very funny !

Particularly liked "oi jus driv there". Do people really speak like that in the provinces ?

I went to Suffolk for the day once, but didn't really meet any yokels locals.

They most certainly do... See https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2378327716 for example. It's impossible to have a Suffolk accent and sound intelligent - FACT! ?

Easter (living in Suffolk but thankfully not sounding like it)

Yes, some of them do. We went to a Norfolk knees-up (don't ask) last year and between the music some old boy told stories in almost unintelligible norfolk dialect. My two Irish friends were even more mystified than us ?. I'm desperately trying to stop my daughter from picking up a Norfolk accent, thankfully all her close frineds are the children of non-Norfolk parents so none of them have a strong twang, not yet anyway [shudder]

Ginni was that the xmas 'extravaganza' you're talking about with the comedian? I saw him too, the PIL thought he was hilarious I was gobsmacked!

One of my first Norfolk accent experiences was when i started teaching in a city school here and a little girl ame up to me and asked "Miss, how do you spell hair?" I wroe h-a-i-r on the board only to have her follow up with "Not hair on your head, hair as in come hair now"

    There's no hope!

Do you have any idea how offensive that is? I mean it's Norfolk heritage and you are actively discouraging, like you don't want your children to associate with anyone with any local heritage. If your that offended by the accent then I highly suggest you "jog on" honestly some people, so bloody rude!
