Hi ladies,

Are any of you brides experiencing anxiety and stress as well leading up to the big day during the planning stages?

I have 3.5 months left till the wedding day and I still have wedding invitations to sort out, photographer + videographer + make up and hair to finalise, and cake to book. My fiance and I have now put things on our shared calendar for the next few months, but I wake up every morning with this unsettled stomach. I keep worrying we don't have enough time to get everything sorted.

It's not enough to stop me from functioning, but it's enough to make me feel really restless, unfocused at work / planning for wedding, and nervous energy.

My fiance is trying to help, and I've passed him some tasks to complete. And I'm leaning on friends and bridesmaids for support. Also praying to God for help. But this anxiety and stress still persists. And the last thing I want to do is end up driving everyone around me crazy because I can't get my anxiety under control. Smiley sad

Any advice?

I recently went through stress before an important event in my life. But it seemed to me that I coped up with the negative. I went to the site https://calmerry.com/blog/therapy/do-you-have-anxiety-try-this-anxiety-test/ to take an anxiety test. I thought everything was fine with me, but it wasn't. Therefore, after receiving the results, I decided to take care of myself and even signed up for a therapist.

I'm getting married the end of March and it all feels like it's getting too much. Had an emotional meltdown a day ago when I realised how many different types of confetti there are!! We are doing everything at our venue and they are organising a lot of it. God knows what I'd be like if they weren't. At point now where I feel like I'm not even looking forward to my wedding as it all feels too stressful 😔

I am June 1st. I understand your feelings. I'm not overly stressed yet, but it feels like the wedding is taking up 95% of my daily brain capacity. All I think about is the wedding and the things left on my list.

I think its important to sometimes step away from wedding to dos and do something for yourself. Whether that's taking a bath, or going to a class or reading. It can really help!

I was getting a bit stressed a few weeks ago mainly because my other half was really chilled and hasn't even decided on all of his guests yet. We had a big argument. Things calmed down and then I spoke with other half and we agreed that getting married should be something we enjoy including the preparation. Now if I get stressed, I tell myself that things don't have to be perfect and that I should just enjoy the experience. :-)

As I understand you. I had the same stress as you. I went to my doctor and he recommended herbal sedatives . They were not very strong, but they helped to calm down and get rid of anxiety. The stress level also decreased. Because of this, I did everything more quickly and felt better
