Im in the UK, Getting married January 2025..

Hoe far along in the planning process are you?
Venue - comes as a package with dj&food ✔️ almost paid offPhotographer ✔️ deposit paidWedding dress ✔️ Found but still need to buyWedding jewellery ✔️Registrar ✔️ booking fee paid - need to pay remaining balance this yearDecorations ✔️Bridesmaids & best men ✔️Wedding website ✔️Bridesmaids Bouquets ✔️Flowers&basket for flower boy ✔️Songs for guests to sit and listen to while ceremony is getting started ✔️Song for Bridesmaids to walk to ✔️Song for me to walk to ✔️
I think I'm pretty much sorted for now up until I need to sort marriage licence out 🤔
I've left cake out as I'm still unsure whether its even worth having, or not.
Anything you can think of that's important I may have left out?
Not doing videographer either so not included that on list.

    Hi Alisha,

Hope you are well. Congratulations on your engagement. I got engaged on 23rd December I have sourced our wedding venue and catering. In June I am off dress shopping currently in talks with photographer/videographer and cake supplier. I am not going to have any flowers I want to just get myself an artificial bouquet.

We are just having a wedding breakfast and possibly some entertainment in the evening time. Dont want to be doing first dance etc as we are not dancers lol. We are making the wedding our own. You have done alot have you considered wedding insurance? This is something we want to do. I think you should get wedding cake do a cutting of the cake Smiley smile.

Just a note here - if your photographer is asking for full payment at time of booking or many months in advance then that could be a warning sign / red flag.

I've only paid deposit so far. Then he's asking for the rest a few weeks before my wedding date.

We've not done insurance. By the time it even occurred to us, we'd already paid for quote a lot.

Please make sure you've got your wedding insurance if you haven't got that on your checklist.
