Any advice would be great

So I'll try and keep this short and sweet.

I am British and my fiancé is American (and lives in USA)

We would like to get married some time this year, but we are completly clueless.

Im sure he needs a marriage visa to get married here in the UK ? And im not quite sure how to go about doing all this before i book the church because when i comtacted the church they said he would have to be present to sign all paperwork and stuff but how can he do thelat whrn hes in another contry?

Has anyone else had this problem? Or been through this?

I'm a bit lost and don't know where to start.

Would this be something a wedding planner would help us with?

Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks

Have you contacted your local registrar? Ours were really friendly and helpful (over a different issue, so can't help you with your query). It would be worth giving them a call, as they will be used to dealing with all kinds of weddings and you probably can't ask a question they haven't already heard dozens of times!
