Any brides from South Wales

I am!! We live in Cardiff and getting married at our local church followed by a reception in Rudry Parish Hall, about 20 mins away from the church. We're booked in for 23rd March next year ?

Thank you! We were very excited when we found Rudry Parish Hall - exactly what we originally wanted but hard to find! Id highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good value venue... the people there are fantastic and put us in touch with loads of local suppliers covering everything!!

Getting married in our local church followed by reception at Mercure Hotel Swansea.

Getting married at the Manor House Hotel in Penarth. It was the only venue we even went out to look at. Looked at quite a few websites, but one of OH's friends had gotten married at the only other place I'd even sort of fancied.

I'm not from South Wales though. My OH is, and we decided that it was more practical to get married here than in the US.

Your question has totally reminded me of one of the girls I work with who has become annoyed on my behalf when customers say: "Ooh, you don't sound like you're from around here. Where are you from?" ?

We work throughout South Wales & have photographed in a number of venues ove rthe years, so if anyone would like unbiased opinions or advice then please don't hesitat to ask!

Me too but now an "old married". We got married at Caerleon University in Newport and had the ceremony, reception and evening party there!!

It is isn't it! I see your reception is in the Mercure Holland House in Cardiff. I love that place. Stayed there before it was Mercure in a lovely suite. The food is fabulous.

I've still got lots left to do. Are you all ready?

Were pretty much done now just waiting for our invitations to be delivered and thats it, i found it a nightmare trying to get a hair and make up person id left it far too late by the looks of it, a lot id found by searching on the internet were already booked up so im having girls from a local salon they weill come to my mums house on the actual day but im going to the salon for trial. where abouts do you live? x

My best mate got married in Craig-yr-Nos Castle, it was fabulous.

I'm getting married in the Castle Hotel in Neath, pretty and inexpensive. I am an older bride (getting married on my 40th birthday) and didn't want too much expense when so much needs doing to the house!

I am from Neath but live in Gloucestershire, so looking forward to "coming home".
