Any florists out there?

Weather Girl, 21 January, 2009 at 20:47 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hey, do we have any florists amongst us Hitchers? Only I've seen some flowers I quite like called frilled tulips - I've never heard of the frilled variety before and was wondering whether they're difficult/expensive to get hold of and whether they would be available at the time of year I get married (October)?

Thanks x

    Hi there

I've worked with an ivory frilled tulip before. The variety is called 'honeymoon' and it's much more subtle than the parrot tulip - a bit like someone has taken a pair of pinking shears to them!

I used them in March, and I wouldn't like to guarantee that you could get them in October. It's worth asking your florist to check with their suppliers though - you'd be amazed what you can get hold of at a price!!
