any lush fans with eczema?

28 April, 2008 at 08:51 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

My 3 year old has now graduated to showers rather than baths & wants to use grown-up shower things. Up till now she has been using halos n horns or the organic little me stuff in the bath.

Can anyone recommend anything for washing skin and also a shampoo that will do the trick without making her sore? I'm posting here rather than BT as I'm hoping that whatever is recommended will be something I can persuade my husband to use too!

thanks,
vic

Me! I use Lush and am prone to eczema all over my body.

I use the shower jellies mainly, Whoosh, Champagne snowshowers (this is a christmas one though) Big Calm and Joy of Jelly. None of which flare up my skin.

For shampoo I use Big, Cynthia Sylvia Stout ot Curly Wurly. And the eczema on my scalp has almost all gone.

You can put them in the fridge or the freezer if you want a cold envigorating shower, but they dont have to be kept cold, I keep mine in little tuppaware boxes with lids in the shower, and they keep well. So no need for refrigeration.

And they smell gawjus too, I use a body puff and the soapy lather is imense!

Can't recommend the other toiletries but I use Dream Cream on any eczema and it really has cleared it up within a day or so.

My seven year old has eczema and she uses Dream Wash in the shower and then dream cream when she comes out. She's also okay with Honey I washed the Kids soap. I haven't used the shampoos on her but they do a really mild baby shampoo that I use on my little boy, can't remember what it'c called but it's very dark green and begins with an "A".

If you want some soap recs then I regularly use, bohemian, sexy peel, honey I washed the kids, miranda and I should coco (my fave soap of all time is 17 cherry tree lane which was discontinued but I spent £70 on 3/4 of a block so I have a supply of it stashed!)

Until just over a year ago I'd never even been into a LUSH shop, a friend of mine converted me and I've never looked back. It's really helped the eczema as there are very few products of theirs that have ingredients I'm allergic to.[8D]

I think a trip to lush is coming! I have broken out in eczema lately and fed up with the creams etc from the docs.

I bathe in Big Blue and then use Dream Cream afterwards and when it flares up on my hands Lemony Flutter will calm it down.
