Anyone else slightly annoyed?

Is anyone else annoyed by the amount of times you hear 'It's ok, you can just get married, that's the important thing' ?. From friends, family, distant relatives. Like sure, I'll just push aside something I've planned, looked forward to and spent money on for 2 years and just get married. I do appreciate that at the end of the day it's about the marriage, but we've been together for 10 years..just want to have a party ???. Nothing against elopements of course, but it just gets frustrating hearing that so frequently.
