Anyone getting married at Monks Barn, Hurley?

We viewed it - it's lovely. we didn't book it, only because we want a civil ceremony and the barn didn't offer it. the only way we could book Monks Barn was to go against all our beliefs and get married in a church, or a registry office......neither were for us.

Are you thinking about booking it?

In the end we went for Lillibrooke Manor , just down the road in Maidenhead

I've never been there but just had a quick look online, it looks lovely! Makes a nice change to have something so personal that doesn't seem to overcommercialised.

That is where we got married last year - it was fantastic!!

Did you get married at the venue - if so, where/ We want to do it outside (weather permitting) by the small barn.

Which area did you serve canapes (if you had them)

How did you lay out the big barn? It's very big and we ween't sure to maybe cordon off the area fo the evening.

Did you have a fee bar - if so, did it work out ok?

Di you have the dance floo at the bar end or the other end?

Did you use the hexagonal room for anything?

Thanks so much.......I just love Lillibrooke. The only probem is there is o much space and want to utilise it all without the wedding being too spread out!!!

How many guests are you having? We had about 80 for the day and then an extra 30 ish in the evening. It went well.

Thanks s much. I actually feel lke i was at your wedding, the pics are amazing. I can only hope for weather that good.....we plan to do the outside ceremony too and it just sounds / looks so unique. who wants a church when u can get married outside.
