Any vegetable soup cooked without using cream should be fairly low fat. Just chuck whatever veg you want, seasoning and stock in a pan, cook it up and then whzz it in the blender.

Slimming world uses chicken bovril as stock - so maybe that's an idea. But tbh how dangerous can a couple of stock cubes be?

Most homemade soups can be as lowfat/calorific as you want them to be. I regularly make veg soups. Fry (or dry fry) an onion chopped up very small along with diced carrot/celery/leek/peppers,whatever you choose really, add a pint or so of chicken or veg stock, add a tablespoon of tomato puree, voila you have a cheap tasty nutritious soup!

Another one I like is lentil and bacon and veg. You could leave the bacon out for a healthier option.simmer 45/50grams red lentils per person for 20-30 mins, add stock and veg (as above) The lentils cook down to make a lovely thick soup. I add chopped bacon to mine but you could leave it out for a healthier option.

I love a WW recipe for leek & potato soup - only 8 points for the whole pot (at least 4 or 5 servings)

    500g leeks - chopped

500g floury potatoes - peeled and cubed

    1 onion

    2 cloves of garlic

    tablespoon low fat spread/margarine

    1l of vegetable stock

    300ml/ 1/2 pint skimmed milk

    Fresh parsley

Melt the margarine in a pan and then sautee the onion, garlic and leek until soft

Add the potatoes, hot stock and parsley, bring to the boil and then simmer for 20 mins or until veg are soft

Stir in the milk and reheat

Season with pepper & salt and serve (I always blend with a stick blender)

    It's absolutely delicious

This has the potential to be low fat: http://www.slashfood.com/2007/08/29/roasted-tomato-soup-because-im-a-sadist/ - just substitute the 2/3 cup of olive oil for a few sprays with Fry light or similar when roasting the tomatoes etc, and make sure you drain the sun dried tomatoes well. It's totally delicious and very virtuous. It takes a while to make but it's not hard.

Try this Nigella recipe for Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Soup - super quick and delicious. I don't use the buttermilk and, if I have some lying around, I chuck some chopped coriander on the top

? Just what I have been thinking all afternoon! I mean, she could have been called away urgently or had a power failure or something but really.....

Also, I don't know why I wasn't annoyed at the OP not saying "please"

Here's where I admit I only replied because I had a feeling she wouldn't say thank you, and it would give me something to have a mini rant about. ?

    What a fool

maybe you should wait until you can apply a little courtesy to your requests for 'recepies'

(adds another rude little baggage to list of numpties)

This is sooooo pathetic - someone even said they only replied to the OP to see if i said thank you after someone posted the recepies because they wanted a rant - now that is pathetic!!

if you look through everyones post not everyone has said PLEASE!!!

So enjoy continuing to type your silly little girl comments and if you dont want to offer advise next time i ask something i really wont be offended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

    Hitched bingo anyone?

    "Get a life" - tick

"I'm doing this on purpose because it makes me laugh" - almost there

Shoegag01 - all you needed to do is say "Sorry" but instead you're rude and use ighly irritating punctuation overload which serves no more than to make you look like a ficko.
