Anyone having difficulty getting bridesmaid / chief bridesmaid dresses for bigger ladies?

What colour are you looking for? We might find something online for you.

BHS, Monsoon, M&S & debenhams all have BM dresses up to size 22. Depends on the cut (no matter what size you are) as I can fit anything from a size 10-14 as each shop sizings are different.

TK Maxx can have BM dresses, but I dont know what size they go up to.

If its only the colours that need to match, the larger lady might need to go somewhere like evans. New look also have a plus size section now.

she has told me this morning that she is a size 22 , she would prefer chiffon material. She really does like the dessy dresses its just where can she try them on before ordering? I don't mind traveling to try them on .

If no luck I might give dessy a call directand see if there is anyway they could send her size to a shop which stocks them localy to try on as at the moment the stock providers have said this isn't possible x

Hiya I had the same problem when I was a bridesmaid and it's not a fun situation to be in. There is a company called my big fat gorgeous wedding on the internet (they are on facebook too), she does made to measure dresses.

When I was a bridesmaid the bride had my dress made for me which was £100 from a local bridal shop, there are the Alfred Angelno dresses too which go plus size. I don't know what sort of budget you have but if you need any more help just give me a shout. Also Simply Be are starting a wedding range so it might be worth a look there too x

My bm (an 18) in clothes and i had her dress from romantica of devon- nila dress in a chiffon and her dress was a 20 cos of big b00bs and it was very flattering - just looked at their website and their dresses goes up to a 32 in a variety of colour

My friend has the same problem as well, as she is plus size, after consulting with the brides, they decided to buy bridesmaid dresses from the internet. they bought them from 7foxmall.com. the dresses are wonderful and well tailored. as the dresses are custom made, you can ask for some modification. they are happy about the purchase. maybe you can have a look there as well if you still have difficulty finding a dress for her.

Yay me and bridesmaid went fir here to try some dresses on last weekend she tried this on and fell in love with it.

although dessy only eat stock lists have up to a size 18 she put it on and although didn't fit perfectly obviously as not her sixe she looked stunning and said she felt so comfortable and couldn't wait to wear it.

my other two bms will order there's in jan as the lady cannot ft them in before Xmas.

Im so glad she's happy as was really stressing me out.

Bride To Be - Glad you have found a suitable dress. I'm also struggling with my bridesmaid dresses, finding the right style that would suit all shape / sizes and in the right colour :-(

Would you mind me asking how much that dress is? I really like it and they do it in a colour similar to what I'm looking for.

Thankyou -This dress is £210, which is more than I originally wanted to spend but she's happy so that's what she's having.

My other 2 bridesmaids want short dresses .but in same material and colour and when I looked they were £140/£155 which is what I was expecting to pay.

Thanks, thats an OK price for the dress, its really flattering / beautiful. Do they do this dress in short length to, or is it just a similar style dress your getting?

Unfortunately they don't do the short version of this dress but bms want similar style just short. Dessy have so man to chose from though !

Hello all just an update my other two bridesmaids are trying on and getting measured for there dresses next Tuesday and my chief bridesmaid who tried hers on last year wants to come too so she can try the dress on again and show the rest of the girls. And get Measured to order. I'm so happy :-)

meeting with some florists this weekend to decide on some pretty flowers that match :-)
