Hello! Also a Billericay Dickie! Have also lived in Brentwood though and can recommend hairdressers in both Shenfield and Brentwood. Salons are Spargo and Headlines but can give specific stylists via PM. Funny if it turns out we are all talking about the same people!

Do you know how far/wide she covers? I'm also on the look out for a new hairdresser, but we're a bit further (Braintree), unless anyone knows of a good more local hairdresser? I hate having my hair cut by someone new, it's been about 6 months and I'm desperate for a good chop! X

Hi lady's said I would jump on this forum as I'm a freelance hairdresser and work in the essex area mainly in Chelmsford, braintree and bishops stortford but will travel as I know how scary it is to trust someone new to do your hair I have my friend doing mine for years so I know i would cry if she moved as I trust her and I'm very fussy, as hair is our crown and glory. If you don't like the idea of somebody coming to your home I can recommend a few fantastic salon based stylists. I know from reading back ye are probable sorted with someone but said I would give the option anyway. Good luck with the search and a good tip is always get a trim to start with when it's someone new as you can see how they are what they work like and if you feel comfortable and remember stress just a trim and then the next time depending if you were happy you can ask for a bit more as you know they aren't scissors happy. Although I'm not from Chelmsford, I've largely started doing my own trims at home with my partner's assistance. We use Japanese scissors got it from online. Especially for small cuts or cleanups, these scissors are dependable and extremely sharp. Between salon appointments, it's saved a ton of time and money!
