Anyone know about MOTs and bodywork damage?

I had a bit of a prang on Tuesday. The bonnet is now a bit misshapen ? but closes fine. There's no damage to lights or numberplate. The bodyshop doing the repairs cant take it until the 18th July, but it's going in for a service and MOT on the 15th....will the bodywork stuff stop it passing? I'm praying not....

Thanks in advance....?

    No sharp edges....it was a front end knock, so I guess the lights *could* be out....no way of me (a humble pleb) checking that really though, is there? Gah. This really couldn't have come at a worse time....it's going into the bodyshop on the 18th and MOT is due 23rd, so I don't really want to wait until after the bodywork is done in case they have it a while.....

    Is that what you'd do? Perhaps I should postpone the service/MOT...it does make sense....hmmmm......

    I had a fail based on the lights being out of alignment and they fixed it in 10 minutes and passed it straight away. My garage always do that if they can, doesn't yours?

    Thanks...we're on the Surrey/Middx borders. I think I'll call the bodyshop and garage tomorrow and see how long they'll have it for....thanks again!

    Probably....I don't really know. They're a good garage, so I'd imagine they would.
