Anyone planning a wedding at Stratford Park Hotel?

We've booked our 2022 wedding with them after winning a free venue hire competition. They then turned round and said that the prize was only valid for weddings up till March 2022 even though this wasn't stipulated in T & Cs, and the staff member i spoke to said July would be fine. So we've ended up having to pay 1500 for venue hire. We really like this venue, but having real trouble with the events team. They take weeks to answer or just ignore emails, we've made it clear we want to discuss a bespoke menu but they are being so difficult about it. Anyone else having or had similar experiences with them? Their reviews seemed so good, but so far I wouldn't recommend them at all.

Hi, I haven’t heard of this venue but I do know a lot about T&Cs, marketing and competitions. If you have the full T&Cs for the competition and they definitely do not stipulate a date then they cannot suddenly declare March 2022 as the deadline. You can put a complaint in to the ASA if they have done so. I would go back to them and say this. Also if you have written correspondence with the staff member who said July was OK attach this as proof. I hope that helps
