Oh Liz, you poor thing. Cancer is such an awful disease, what it does to families is tragic. Try not to panic and find out exactly what treatment your Nan is going get. I'd imagine she is in shock at the moment herself.

    Huge hugs to you. ?

Liz, hugs to you, you poor love. It's just the shock that meant you weren't able to say anything - there's nothing wrong with you. ? That's awful news.

First of all huge ? Its such a shock getting news like this. Your nan may change her mind about treatment, everybody reacts differently and like Mrs W said, she may be in shock herself at the minute.

Don't feel like you're going through this alone though. Unfortunately it seems many of us on here have gone through similiar things and it may help to talk.

    Take care of yourself x

Oh Liz I'm so sorry to hear about your Nan.

I just wanted to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, you're obviously in shock and it makes people react in ways that they normally wouldn't think they would. When I was told my Grandma had died I actually laughed and I felt awful for that afterwards, but I just think I couldn't take the news in.

Could you talk to her about treatment? Go and see the consultant with her to find out what her options are?

    ?

Liz, I haven't lost as many people as you but I know what it's like seeing a loved one going through this. My dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour 8 years ago. It was the start of a really tough time for me. I was lucky and although he's had further treatment (just when we expected the all clear) it seems to be ok at the moment.

If ever you want to chat off board feel free - I'm sure others will say the same but I know how difficult this *** can be!
