    Lovely dress

honestly, i dont think its very flattering at the top as it cuts in under the arms.

is this in the correct size?

The dress is not my cup of tea, but it's only what I wouldn't want, but If you love it then that's what is important, you do not look huge in it at all, in fact as you are a lovely curvy lady the dress is quite flattering.

Maybe try in on again tomorrow with your mil and see how you feel then, if you still love it then go for it x

I like the dress but I am wondering if you're 100% in love with it. Maybe it's just that the photo is a bit dark but you don't seem to have that - this is my dress look!

Have you tried many others on? Don't let your MIL pressure you into ordering if you're not ready. It's your dress and your day - even if she's paying for it and you have to be comfortable and happy!

I think its nice but you would look better with some sort of shrug covering the top of your arms. xxx

Have you tried a few on? Is it Defo the one or are u just feeling pressured from MIL to get it ordered? I think it's a lovely dress, if your just not happy with it looks wise but it is the one, what about a shrug? X

The shape of the dress looks good on your body but the other reply is right that it is cutting in at your arms. You good find a shrug that would cover this or see if the fitting of it is not making the problem worse. Get something you feel comfortable with so that you don't feel pressured or stressed about losing weight. It's a lovely dress

I agree that a shrug would be flattering and I think it might just need fluffing out at the bottom to balance it out.

I agree with the others if you feel its the one then maybe add a shrug, if you are feeling like its not quite right maybe you could try on some more i have tried on loads and went with a Bonny Bridal dress as im what the designers refer to as a plus size bride mine is bonny unforgettable style 1811 and makes me feel so slim, whatever you decide if you love the dress and think its the one then order but if your not sure try on some more so that when you make your purchase you know your happy, good luck x

I like this dress its very pretty and now after what you have said about your mum makes more sense for the glum face. The second pic looks completley different and once you have better fitting size it will look stunning. I do agree with the other ladies a shrug/jacket would go lovely with the dress but its equally as nice without if you love it then go for it.

OK being honest - yes it does make you look big. Your arms loog too big for the dress, and the split fabric skirt cuts you in two and isn't flattering.

My aunt got married a couple of yrs ago, she is definitely bigger than you are, but by wearing a simple dress with wrap, looked fantastic. I'd keep looking if I were you Smiley smile

In all honesty, I don't like it. Sorry. But people said that about mine when I posted it. Didn't matter I loved it Smiley smile

TBH I think something fuller at the bottom and pulled/fitted round the waist might be better. I don't think this gives you any shape.

The dress is nice, although not my kind if thing but I really don't think it's doing anything for you. You should be able to find something far more flattering if perhaps you went for a dress with less fuss on it, perhaps a straighter dress with some rouche around the waist. I think you would benefit from sleeves of some kind too - I get the same sort of look as you if I go for strapless so I find sleeves of some sort give a smoother finish at the top. Hope you don't mind my honesty. As for ordering it - please dont unles you are 100%. I put a deposit down a couple of weeks ago and then regretted it. I ordered my 2nd dress today and I am far happier about my decision.

Sorry your mum is being so unsopportive, that doesn't help. Could she be jealous that your mother in law is buying you the dress rather than her? Perhaps her nose is a bit out of joint?!

I'll have to agree with enterflora I'm afraid. I think the dress is doing you no favours when I can see you have a waist. Also, the ruffles aren't very flattering but I'm not really a ruffle fan. I think you'd look stunning in something like this -

I think I'll have to agree with most of the other replies, it doens't look quite right. I'm not a small girl myself (yeah yeah, dreaming of losing weight got a year or so to do it but...) and despite you saying you loved it that's not the impression I get from either of the photos Smiley sad

I don't love strapless dresses on us generous girls, we end up with that 'bit' at the top of our arms/bust poking out ☹️ So many styles are strapless now, it's like designers are getting lazy about designing necklines/arms!!

I think you'd be far better with something that was plainer on the bottom, so have a detail/ruche/something on the bust of the dress and then nothing on the rest of the dress, it should make you look taller and more elongated.

Don't let anyone pressure you into buying/ordering it, it's such a huge thing it has to be totally right for you so that you shine on your big day x

As others have said I'm not 100% keen on the dress and don't think you should rush into ordering a dress that you're not completely happy with, don't feel pressured.

How about something with a lacy sleeve?
