10 days to go and still undecided!

AmzieM, 4 September, 2013 at 09:21 Posted on Planning 0 14

Well it's 10 days to go and i am still undecided about to wear make-up or not.

i don't wear make-up anyways. but thought its my day so got to make a bit effort. i though of pale purple eyeshadow - only a bit, not to heavy. maybe bit of mascara. and pale pink lipstick with lipgloss on top.

but then other part of me thinks well why bother when i dont wear it anyways and just natural with none. (my eyebrows will be tinted slightly to give more defintion to them).

i also been asking my friends. and its half and half again so im stumped.

what do you think - makeup or not?

thanks

I think wear a little bit. Just to lift your features in photos if nothing else.

I agree with the above, maybe just a little bit of make up for the pictures.

Nothing too much though if your not confortable with it. Mascara and lipgloss sound perfect.

Wear it for the pictures if nothing else. If you never wear make up, just wearing mascara and some blush/bronzer will instantly lift your features for photos.

Well I NEVER wear make up, even now at 30! But on my wedding day I did and I'm so pleased. It didn't make me look different, my eyes were a bit brighter, but I only wore a tiny bit (mascara, pale eyeshadow, blusher and coloured lip gloss) but it meant with all the flashes from TOG, in the pics I don't look pale or anything, I still look like me, as I did on the day. I'd say go for it, but try it out in the days before the weddign to check you are happy with how you look in it.

Professional photos hightlight all different features that you will not normally see when you look at yourself in the mirror. You don't have to look like a clown with make up on but your face could look lost, pale and washed out if you don't show off your best features. Eyes and lips especially if you have had your eyebrows tinted, it will look weird to just see your eyebrows but lose you eyes in the pictures if you see what I mean.

You never wear make up? You lucky lucky thing haha, wish I didn't have to! Probably, as the others said, it might look better for photos but I'd probably start wearing it now to get used to it and check you're happy Smiley smile x

I don't normally wear make up either. I'm not what you'd call a girlie girl! However I will be wearing some on the day just so the photos look good. Not too much though or I won't feel like me

    Thank you for your replies.

last night i was putting makeup on. and i didn't realise how light my eyelashes are. i put light purple eyeshadow on and couldn't really see my eyelashes (thye are like two toned, tips are darker) so put mascara on and ta-da my eyelashes reappeared lol. also had lipgloss on. looked really good.

every night be putting it on to get use to it, my eyes felt weird with the make up on.

There you go! It'll look lovely for photos but you can keep it to a minimum. Good idea to practice Smiley smile

I only ever wear make up on nights out, and these days they're so few and far between. It's definitely worth doing though as the pictures will look so much nicer.

Boots No7 Stay Perfect mascara is amazing. I don't wear much makeup, a splash of mascara and that's about it but I wore eyeshadow and the likes on my part 1 ceremony and I'm really pleased I did. I'm definitely wearing it again on Part 2.
