    Oh YAY!!

I knew it wasn't just me!

    Going ok at the moment.

So far I have church, venue, dress, shoes, car, hotel, photographer and music booked.

Working on the save the dates and evening invitations this week but we need to have a look over the guest list again.

So where abouts are you getting married?

Oh I know but I have OCD when it comes to organisational things!

I used to be a project manager.

    When did you get engaged?

Did I see you are in Bath SummerLouiseLewis? If so you couldn't give me some good options of bars / pubs or clubs to go to as I have got a hen night coming up in October and we are looking for a good venue.

Haha i just can't seem to decide on anything, i just like everything i see!

We got engaged on the 1st April so not long ago, but booked the church and venue within 2weeks, thought i would just do them as then at least i had a date Smiley smile

Yeah i am in Bath... hmmm The Cork bar is quite nice, a few of my friends go to Belushi's pub a bit but i have never been... the pig and fiddle is also popular but is more of a student type pub really. Komedia have club nights often, but other than that i'm not the knowledgable really... www.visitbath.co.uk may be able to help you a bit more Smiley smile Sorry i can't be of more help lol

Ah yes - Get the church and venue booked and that is the hardest part!

We got engaged on NYE so I have had a few more months than you have!

Thanks for the info about Bath.

In that case, can I join in, too? I'm the weekend before!

I've got loads organised, but still lots to do.

    Ticked off are:

Venue, dress (still needs fitting), BM dresses, shoes, hairdresser, photographer, caterer, wine choices (VERY important!), dance lessons, STDs (hmm, that's Save The Dates, not the other kind of STD!!!), boys' suits, flowers, rings, music...

    Need to sort:

Makeup, BM shoes, invitations (I've designed them, but have to make them), hiring of decorations, gifts for everyone, ring bearer cushion, honeymoon .... getting fit!

We are getting married at the walton park hotel in clevedon.

so far we have organised venue / photographer / cake / invites (which im making ) / favour boxes / bridesmaids jewelerry but not dress / honeymoon / guest book / venue decoration ...

also sorted out a tempory guest list just incase things change over the next year. we dont need transport as getting married and have reception in the hotel.

our colour is cadbury purple and butterflies is the theme. this month we are trying to book a string quartet and decide which jars we want to purchase for our sweetie buffet.

we got engaged in dec 2011 and i cant believe how quickly the last 6 months have gone

My OH is exactly the same! I thought I would be able to run riot with this wedding but he wants to be involved with everything which is actually quite nice really.

I'm also going for purple but hopefully quite bright version of it but that will depend on the Bridesmaid dresses. My MOH is early 40's and wants a long dress with straps then I have my sister who is 28 and about a size 12 but big hips and my OH's niece who will be 16 next year but is still growing so we can't get her anything yet. I'm tempted to say to them - it has to be a shade of purple and wear what you want but we are having quite a formal wedding so it will need to be quite smart.

We are making our own invites and a friend of ours who is a graphic designer is coming over tomorrow night to do the Save the Dates and start on the invitations, but the guest list is proving the hardest part at the moment.

I wont be able to buy bm dresses till early next year as i have my niece who is 14 and is constantly changing shape so dont want to pressure her into dieting or anything if her shape changes and then cant fit into dress, then my sister is a teeny size 8 who if she wears strappy dresses makes her look like a 13 year old so she will need strapless dress.

i really want them to wear a 50s style dress but will have to get them to try some on to see if it suits them

Have you looked at Vivien of Holloway for your dresses? My sister (who is a UK size 4-6 so TINY!) wore one to a friend's wedding a couple of months ago and it looked great. I bought one for a wedding for a friend of mine this year and it's also great for me (size 8) and for curvier women, it's also a really flattering shape. I don't know if I'm allowed to put links up, but you can search for the site on your favourite search engine ? They have all sorts of different colours of dresses, petticoats and belts so you can make your own look. I'm considering wearing one to my UK registry office ceremony (I'm having a big blessing with the "proper" dress in Spain).

She has a shop in London (Holloway Road) where you can go try them if you want. I don't know if that's logistically possible for you.

I'm in the 14th September gang too! So far I have the church, reception, photographer and caranne dress. I have someone to do my flowers and cake but I've not decided what I'm having yet. I'm currently finishing off my save the dates and I keep seeing a few things I might use for centrepieces but I keep changing my mind.

It's all coming together nicely but it still doesn't feel like I'm actually getting married. Weird.

I would have loved to get married in cornwall as thats where i spent my childhood holidays too! the OH wanted a venue by the sea hence the clevedon hotel, its not too far for us to travel to.

is it weird that i have bought my jewellery before my dress???? i found a set i loved and it was in the sale as end of season so knew if i didnt buy it there and then that i wouldnt be able to get it at a later date....

    Hi

I'm new on this site and am a 14th September '13 bride! We have the registrar, venue, reception and photographer booked for some weeks but that's it! Not sure when to kick off the organising really, especially the dress as over a year is a long time if you change size/shape! Have ideas for flowers bridesmaid dress etc, but like I say I'm not sure when to kick it all off.

    Liz

Hello! I have just had my venue confirmed today and I too will be getting married on 14th September 2013! So so excited now lol. Although I did have my dress and photographer booked before the venue ? Just got to confirm the registrar now - fingers crossed they have a slot for me!

Have decided on BMs (big and little), Best Man and ring bearer (totally uneccessary but my nephew is just too cute to leave out!). Colour scheme is chocolate and ivory, and I have a cake maker. So still loads to sort out but now that I have the venue confirmation my stress levels have cranked down a notch or two!
