We took the children to Lapland to see Santa (about 15 years ago)....so I can picture quite a bit of what you are aiming for. I'm not sure I could manage the Ice hotel, though - give me central heating anyday!!

I am currently looking to book my Lapland Jan 2016 wedding! I cant decide between ice chapel in the snow village or levi ice gallery! What made you choose the levi ice gallery??

Ooooo are you planning with sun & snow weddings too? we chose the ice gallery as its a bit smaller than the ice chapel in the snow village. we are thinking of staying in levitunturi spa hotel eeeekkkkk!!! we stayed in a log cabin last time we visited Lapland so was tempted to do the same this time but wanted to have everyone in the same place as none of them have been before. which venue are you leaning towards? which date are you going for? im soooooooooooooooo excited haha xx

I have been in touch with Rue but also Charlotte at Travelbee too! I am leaning towards the snow village only because there will be approx 26 of us and we want to spend our wedding night at the tepe cabin!

ooo exciting I think my Dad and his girlfriend will be staying there as they dont want to be in the chalet, we want to book the two north star chalets, they have 6 bedrooms in each and interlock to hold a total of 24 and our fully catered by chalet hosts as we wanted everyone to be together too!!

We are look at Jan 2016, would have been Dec 2015 but my partner runs a fun casino company and they are really busy in December with Christmas parties!

Have you found any snow and outfit friendly snow boots??

Are you using the photographer from sun and snow?? We were thinking of doing scratch cards for favours in little envelopes as they wont get ruined in the luggage!

Were having around 20 people there although it started with around 15 haha. ooo where is the tepe cabin? I looked at the big chalets but couldn't find prices anywhere. how much are they if you don't mind me asking? were going for dec 30th as my sister is a teacher so had to be careful with dates and our anniversary is December :-) I have white north face snow boots I wore last time I was in Lapland so going to wear them as my something old and they tie in being white (although I may change my mind and buy new haha) were using her tog but the one I hired for our reception (a family friend) has asked to come and photograph it so were using both. I thought about hand warmers for favours but im not too sure anymore. where are u thinking for your party venue? iv considered the ice bar London for my hen do lol eeeekkkk so exciting to speak to another Lapland bride!! x

I just booked and paid deposit for wedding and the chalets!! Arghhh! Its actually happening.

I went for the ice gallery in the end as I want to have the meal in the kota and hire it for a private function!

We went for both the North Star Chalets which are fully catered so breakfast, afternoon tea and a 4 course meal every evening cooked by the hosts! Came to approx £650pp for 7 nights with flights from Gatwick.

Tepe Cabin is in the laino snow village, its a log cabin the the shape of a tepe and has a panoramic northern lights viewing window, sauna, corner jacuzzi bath with mood lighting and a private hot tub its approx £246 per night inc breakfast.

Ice Bar in London for Hen dos a great idea too!!!!

We are looking at somewhere cheap for party so either our local golf club which is currently being refurbished which would be free hire as my dads a member there, or the Cambridge University sports pavilion is actually quite nice and could be dressed and thats £100. I think we will have cake, few nibbles, a sweet cart as we have one, casino tables as my other half runs a fun casino company and his best man is an award winning magician so he will do his stuff and then I want to get some of the white pre lit twig trees that are 6ft tall from john lewis in the sale after xmas and have a few dotted around and some ice sculptures in the shape of snow globes with white roses inside as my h2b got me one with a single rose in for valentines day (I normally don't even get a card so was really nice) then Ive seen some great ideas for diy decs on pintrest from white pearlised balloons to snowflakes and stuff...

Wow that's a really good price! Were going over new year which hikes the price up but i thought the chalets would be much more than that! Who have u booked with if you don't mind me asking? We went with inghams last time we went so considering them again as they were so good but can't book until January :-/ your party sounds like it's going to be fantastic! Just saw your other comment about colour! Mauve will be beautiful! Yea you can post links on here. My sisters friend has offered to make my cloak which I thought was lovely of her. No idea if I want the lining a different colour yet so i will have to look around when we go fabric shopping! Xx

I booked the whole lot through Charlotte at Travelbee shes been super helpful and will match quotes etc. The chalets are booked through Inghams, if you contact them now they will give you a price, they gave me one last week for Jan 2016! Just say your really keen to get it booked and sorted...

They told me a few months ago I'd have to wait so I'm defiantly calling them ASAP!! Lol the sooner I can book the more relaxed I will be. I've been desperate to book date, venue and accomondation etc that I haven't looked yet! I've looked online lots but now it's all booked I can't wait to start trying them on! I have my heart set at the moment on a vera wang white collection the limited collection she does for David's bridal that are fraction of the price of her normal ones. But I've never actually seen one so may not like them in the flesh! I'm going to the blue water glow wedding show on Sunday which looks good! Managed to get VIP tickets for £14 each!

Can't wait for the jan sales to get stuff!!!

I couldn't find any white thermal trousers as of yet but we got our thermal tops off mountain warehouse online. They have a few sale bits including jackets etc so def worth a look now and after this ski season is over! We got thermal tops from £80 down to £15 and they are fantastic quality! I'm going to look for more bits from April onwards incase white thermal bottoms come up lol. If not I have purple and black so il have to wear those lol. Vera wang has some beautiful designs! I had my heart set on ian stuart and justin alexander but ended up going for alfred sung after trying them on. There is just so much choice! The wedding shop I used said they will box the dress for me to take on the flight so mention that when u hk shopping as they may do the same for you. Ooooo have a fantastic time at blue water! I love that shopping center so I think going there for a wedding fair would be fantastic! You might even get to see the Vera wang dresses!!! Xx

I didn't find the wedding show that helpful, but I entered lots of competitions and got some free magazines.
