STILL making bunting. Nearly finished, but have a few hours' worth left. Will be worth it though.

Yup month today... everything kinda sorted just waiting to hear from suppilers to make final payments!! I wish they hurry up just want everything paid and sorted.. otherwise just dress/suit final fittings, stag and hen dos, order of service to be printed, wear in wedding shoes... think im on track but kinda calm but bored... i love wedding planning

Awww, this was our originally planned wedding date, as it will be our 4 year anniversary, but the venue we fell in love with was all booked up ?

On reflection though, I'd be terrified if it was a month today, as I don't think we could have organised everything in time, and would be very skint!

Still, I shall think of you all on your happy day, which is only a month away now, squeeee! ?

Productive lunchtime, order of the day brochures printed and complete (copier/printer when set up properly collates, folds and staples everything).

Also printed off our confetti cones, and rolled one. Just 99 left to go. Guess what I'll be doing this evening?

We're Friday 16th September and to be honest it still feels like we have quite a lot to do! I haven't thought about making the orders of service, table plan and place cards yet (which I will make myself) and obviously there's lots of payments to be made in the next week or 2! But I did pick up my dress and veil today, and booked our honeymoon last week, and my guestbook arrived, so it's feeling very real and exciting now

No problem clairewill, you can join in our little party for that weekend

Like you, most of our now outstanding jobs on the list start with "pay".

Still waiting for news on our guestbook... must chase the relevant HIB. *adds to list*

I'm getting there, still lot's of paying to do, and deciding on music and stuff, but that's the fun bits to me!

Hopefully going to get a checklist together in the next few days and list everything we've done and what's left, to make sure we haven't forgotten anything critical.

We get married at 4.30pm I am so excited all the hard work will be worth it! still got table decs and place cards to make, favours to bag and kiddies goody bags to put together, and ofcourse pay for it all!! ohh yes and as my husband to be has not written his speech yet we need to sit down and do that. I just can't wait!!!

Did you realise that tomorrow we hit SINGLE FIGURES???

Where has the last six months gone???

We're more or less ready, just awaiting the final bill from the hotel really - the person doing it has gone on holiday but the receptionist assures us they wouldn't cancel our day without chasing us for payment first - even though they haven't sent the bill. Apart from that it's redoing 3 tables on the table plan based on a family of 5 that dropped out yesterday (grrrrr but it saves some money). There's a few bits still in the post or pickup to be arranged and then we're basically there.

b2b is hopefully getting the dresses at the weekend - they had a fitting last weekend and now they're being cleaned/pressed or whatever it is they do to them - and then it's just cope with work till tuesday then it's...

Ha, now whenever anyone asks me how long til the wedding, i shall have Europe's the final countdown in my head!

We don't have too much left to do, pay balance of DJ, Seat plan, but a frame for the seat plan and that's pretty much it, apart from many many lists to ensure we pack everything to take to the venue!

Our biggest hassle at the moment is rejigging the table plan - just had a family of 5 drop out and another 2 people letting me know friday whether they're pulling out or not.

Monday I print the final table plan and that's it. Anyone that cancels after that will be named and shamed with their name left on the table plan but no place laid for them.

Still need to figure out a way to best invoice "no shows on the day" for wasted food and drink that we've had to pay out for.

AJ, are you really doing that? I always thought you were joking!

Depends how many we get drop out, and whether my b2b overrides me or not

If one or two don't come, and have good reasons, then fair enough, but if we get, say, 20 people not bother to come then that's hundreds of pounds gone that we really could have done without wasting - a situation I'm sure many of us would be annoyed about.

It's unlikely but we'll see.

So ladies... six sleeps to go and it's our turn How are your "to do" lists looking? Excited or nervous yet?

Very excited now, and very little left on the to do list, other than pampering things. It's slight;y un-nerving, I should be in a blind panic, but I'm just playing the waiting game now.

Exactly how we're feeling. Bit of a panic earlier as some of our candles have gone missing from the box we thought they were in, so managed to get some scented tealights from Argos, of all places. But pretty much all there is to do is waiting for a few last minute things that are in the post like the guestbook, picking up the postbox on friday, and the loading up the cars to make sure everything we need makes its way down - and that's particularly stressful due to getting married 100 miles away we're screwed if I've forgotten something important!

Will probably put the rings in with the laptop which I know I won't forget

Ha, the rings are the one thing I keep forgetting, probably the only important thing of the day. The rest of it won't really matter if we forget it.

We're similar in that we have to pack the car to travel to the venue, but are neighbours are coming, so we can always get them to pick up anything we have forgotten.

Are you both excited?

I think so but a year of planning and wedding discussions has taken its toll on us and we're both looking forward to actually 'doing the deed', seeing all our plans come together as we intended them to, and the only things that we can't do anything about are beyond our control and we'll just have to deal with "on the fly" and hope nobody notices!

It's a strange feeling, almost surreal to be honest, that just six days away will be one of the most life changing days of our entire lives, ever. It almost doesn't seem real, just another 'appointment in the calendar' like trimming the hedge or taking the car in for a service. But I'm sure come the day and 1.25pm when I put on my choice of music as a pre-ceremony piece, then the registrar introduces themselves and the first bars of Canon in D echo round the room, and I hear the rustle of a dress on the carpet coming closer to stand by my side... it'll all kick in.

Just must remember to have a snot rag in my pocket just in case. Apparently I'm not allowed to use the nicely folded green silk one that's in my jacket pocket.

We grabbed a pack of 15 pocket packs from the pound shop, and will have them available just in case. I hope I can keep my stiff British upper lip though and not embarrass myself on the day.

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling it's surreal though Am off work thursday and friday so will probably read my thread and sorta 'sign off' as I'll be very busy doing all the last minute stuff that will need doing over thursday, and friday it's pack up and go.

I have so many boxes here it's just not real right now. How did we ever collect so much clutter to take to the wedding? I haven't even picked up the PA gear we need for the day...

Just notice there are bucketloads listed on the next 700 weddings list for our day - I wonder what happened to them all? Do so many people really register then disappear?
