I had this scary realisation today! I did OH a special 'pinch, punch we get married next month' in bed this morning!

Went to my friends wedding on saturday and it made everything so real. Aargghh!

Hope our day will be as fantastic as hers

Am excited but nervous at same time

And I have had more drop outs to the evening and im gutted that a friend whom I havent seen for 5 years isnt coming to the wedding. Think its to do with her hubby tbh..........

theres so much still to do. I must make contact with the minister this week too..

**crash** I get married next month too - weirdly I am feeling a sense of calm and f*ck it suddenly.

And everyone else is starting to get really excited which is lovely.

Lots of fiddly logistical things left to do - aside from sending forms back to the registrar.

Finally picked music to walk up the aisle to - Pachelbel's Canon in D. Its so lovely, it's nice to be elegant for 30 seconds!

I might consider that too...

Just had another text from another cousin who cant make the wedding.... this is really getting me down now...

Teehee - I know the feeling - we currently have 3 people coming in the evening - although I haven't chosen any of the evening guests - it's to appease my MIL.

But it was annoying when day guests dropped out. The deadline was today and I am waiting for 2 RSVPs - aside from the few friends I have invited last week to replace drop outs. So we should be about 65 in the day and maybe 70 in the evening

Today was my deadline too.

we have 55 in the day thats fine...... but our 45 evening ones have now dropped to 35 and only 6 have actually rsvp'd me.

I'm the last of the clan to get married and people have known about the wedding for agessssss and the text I got there said they had other committments...... I think its a case of siblings falling out and not wanting to attend the same events, petty pish like that. its not about saving money, its about getting together....... im well peed off.

It's so annoying isn't it. I don't think people really realise all the effort that goes in behind the scenes. I know I didn't.

Even my mum surprised me as my cousin (dad's nephew) isgetting hitched 2 weeks after me and didn't send reply cards with their invites. My mum got all *well now, in my day that wasn't the done thing, you always send reply cards*. I had to point out that it was nice to get a lovely note back but also that my cousin is a med student and maybe doesn't have the money to send everyone an SAE and reply card like we did!

So if my mum can be like that then I have no hope for anyone else!!!

I think on the day, the right people will be there IYKWIM. But it is annoying when you need to have minimum numbers etc _ i've just triple checked all my figures + the contract with the hotel.

Some of my friends are getting really excited now, so I am just relaxing a little. I can't wait to get dressed up, say my vows and then see all the people I love, in one place.

But until then I think things will be a bit up and down!!

My friend sent me a bag of marshmallow love hearts with her decline rsvp... would you like one?

I ought to go and put some dinner on for SB - my throat is hurty so I'm not hungry :-(

We have had 41 declines so far... just have to think that its their loss and that they will miss out.

I would rather they don't come if they don't want to be there (and that is what some of the reasons amount to tbh!) so that we can spend the day with people who want to celebrate with us.

It puts you on a real downer when you get regrets doesn't it.

Only got a few regrets for day and 2 not replied and deadline was last sunday... so annoying!

Loads of regrets for evening but kind of expected that as the wedding is an hour and half away.

oh well, trying to go with the flow but finding it difficult
