Hitchers! If you can afford to, buy your stamps now before the price rise from April 30, the price of a First Class stamp for a standard letter will rise from 46p to 60p. ? The price of a Second Class stamp for a standard letter will increase from 36p to 50p ?!! It's certainly worth doing now if...

The price of a Second Class stamp for a standard letter will increase from 36p to 50p ?!! It's certainly worth doing now if you got the dosh to do it!

    Hi Frandy, it's really hard to say, best advice would be to make sure you can double side inserts where possible and make sure everything is folded properly as this will flatten the envelope. The large letter stamps are going up too, from 75p to 90p!! I think it would be worth buying the first class stamps now, and when it comes to it if you find you are in the realm of the large letter you can go to the post office and buy 30p stamps to use with the first class ones so that they are covered. Won't make the envelope as pretty though obviously Smiley sad

    I was waiting for the discount code but I walked past a Superdrug with a sign up saying they were sold out of stamps so I went straight to the Post Office and bought 200 stamps.

    I decided not to wait for the discount code in the end in case I missed out completely and everywhere was sold out! I went to Superdrug on Friday and they didn't have any so I went to the Post Office yesterday and bought the second class stamps for the thank you cards (I'm well ahead of the game here!) and a few extra first class just in case we need them.

    I've just ordered mine, luckily we will be hand delivering half of our invitations, but they always come in handy!
