1st August 2009 brides?

Hello, I think I'm doing okay! I'm going for my first dress fitting on 9th April, boys are all getting their suits on 4th April, I've ordered the bridesmaids dresses, booked hair/make up, and I'm sorted for jewellery (apart from a tiara). We're probably going to order the invitations within the next week, and OH is currently deciding on a ring. I'm shoe shopping tomorrow. I think we're sending our day invitations out mid April with an RSVP of probably late May, and evening invitations a bit later (in case we can bump any of them up to day invitations!).

That's all for the moment, feels like it's coming along okay (although I do keep having panicked dreams I don't get my dress in time for the wedding - bizarre). I do need to sort a cake out though, we're still a bit undecided about that.

When are you putting as your RSVP?

Hi there ladies, I am really well organised didnt realise how much so until I wrote this the first time then wiped it by accident, lol. I have ordered my dress just waiting for it to arrive in the shop to get it fitted, got the CBM dress and flowergirls dress, the veil and tiara are sorted, got all our jewellery, got my shoes and CBM (got in sale) just got to get flowergirls shoes closer to the time. Sent out my invites already, R.S.V.P has to be back by 1st June so I can chase up the ones we dont get back and then final numbers has to be in by 1st July to the venue. Got the gifts for CBM, FG, MOB, FOB and my bestfriend who is doing a reading for us, got to sort out H2B but i know what im getting him. Booked my hair and makeup just got to have the trial, ordered the wedding cake, booked the entertainer and D.J, got table centrepieces and made the name places for the tables in the day, and made a start on the old fashioned sweet shop we are having, booked flowers and photographer, so much done im exhausted, lol.

H2B has to sort his suit out which hes doing end of this month, not much left to do now, got to get sweet shop finished, sort out the music for the day, get favours sorted and theres a few other bits to sort but im petrified I will forget something major for the day but I think I have covered everything.

I cant wait now ?

it seems that even though i spend all my time on hitched, which in theory should help with the planning, is doing the opposite, as i am nowhere near as organised as you ladies!

You sound really organised Zoe! I've ordered my dress, should be in by end of May and I've ordered BM dresses and they will be in around the same time as mine. Need to sort out shoes and jewellery which I hope do soon! OH and BM are due to be measured for suits next week, others to follow in coming few weeks. Going to sort out invitations on Tuesday aswell. Need to organise the ceremony now as we are officially running in and out of the registry office the day before, then we are having a bit of a mock ceremony for family and friends the day after. I see the Friday as sorting out the legalities, not really the day I become MrsK! So .... need to get my arse into gear in the coming few weeks, hope to send invitations out beginning of May with RSVP by mid-June. How quick are the weeks flying by, I can't believe it, its been booked for over 12 months now!

At the moment, I tend to be constantly making lists of the things I need to do and then never actually getting round to doing them!
