we are (probably) having love is in the air from the strictly ballroom soundtrack.

you should have whatever music you want, especially if the song means something to you.

As much as I love You Do Something To Me, The Beatles would be my choice from that list.

We are having 'counting my lucky stars' I doubt anyone has ever heard of it, but it has lots of memories and meaning to my OH and I.

I think it will end up being The Beatles. Its just the lyrics in the middle that I was a little unsure of. But thats the one I can imagine us dancing swaying to.

I can't decide between something sappy and something more upbeat/Mowtown-ish to get everyone else dancing too....

ETA I would love love love Take That - Rule the World but I will absolutely cry! Or it had to be you which is fab

We had "More Than A Woman" by the Bee Gees!! We did a Hustle to it and it went down a storm!!

We had The Wanndies You and Me Song it was great.....love hearing it on the radio now brings me right back..

We had The Beatles `something`-it was fab, esp as the middle bit revs up a bit and MIL had organised a surprise exploding balloon which was let off then. loved it.

we are having "Mirrorball" by a band called Elbow - we both watched them do this song at Glastonbury when the sun came out and stayed out for the rest of the festival in 2008. Heres the song and we are just learning how to ballroom dance to it ;-)

We got married in November and danced to Michael Buble's 'Everything'. I'd never heard it, it was my dance teacher who suggested it when we asked for her help in choegreographing a surprise first dance......I wasnt sure at first, but now LOVE it. The words are perfect x

we watched them at glasto too-it was one of the hilights for me. and then randomly our videographer put `a night like this` (not sure if thats the title!!) as background music on our video-so that`s `our song` now!

All along we wanted Savage Garden I knew i loved you, then for some reason, i can't think why we changed and had Thank you for loving me by bon jovi.

It was quite funny because when the wedding singer announced our first dance and he started playing bon jovi everyone thought he'd got the song wrong.

'Our song' used to be Dont want to miss a thing by Aerosmith, as it was out when we first got together (10 years ago!). Over the years though we've gradually gone off it a bit as it went through a stage of being a popular first dance song. We've chosen Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol now, as the lyrics are more meaningful to us.

We had 'Bring Me Sunshine' by Morecombe and Wise. Didn't want anything too slushy and our tables were named after our favourite comedy shows with a quote on each table. The words are actually lovely ("Bring me Sunshine through the years") and we even did the M&W dance - not choreographed I might add!. It just made everyone smile! Don't forget you can always have a 2nd and 3rd dance! We did - our bridal party joined us for the second dance Rule The World by Take That and then everyone joined us for 'Life With You' by The Proclaimers. Just brilliant (even if I do say so myself!)

I have now decided on leona lewis- a moment like this...its perfect and H2B likes her but not Savage Garden so is more appropriate for us both, thanks for the suggestions ladies xx

We are having "lost without You" By Robin Thicke...We love it and its not super slow so we can do a little sashay to it..hehe. When i listen to it now it makes me go all funny ?
