1st day wedding dress hunting...found a contender...

tash&ste, 4 February, 2015 at 14:13 Posted on Planning 0 6

And its a bridesmaid dress!

Its the one below from Kelsey Rose, but latte colour with ivory lace and belt. It also comes further past my knees than on the model because I'm a short arse. I tried it with a petticoat underneath to make it look fuller...

Honestly photo doesn't do it justice it looked lovely on! And an absolute bargain at £235! For a small, chic city wedding I think it could be a winner ;-) Going to see a few more shops before deciding but what do you ladies think?

I also loved this one but would get it shortened into a tea length style. However, at almost £700 then alterations its much pricier!

First one is a beaut! Think that will look lovely, and such a bargain. Second one is nice too but I wouldn't faff about getting it shortened when such nice short ones already exist.

I think the top one is lovely! And will look fab with a petticoat to make it look a bit more bride-y. Loving the price too ?

Yeah the ivory petticoat just poked out underneath which looked fab against the latte and matched the lace at the top perfectly. I'm really excited about it! Smiley laugh

I love them both, but if it's a short dress you're after then number one is a must. I really like the idea if a petticoat underneath to give it more oomph - that will make it very wedding dress-y. Great find!

Both dresses are lovely. The second one would be so similar to the first once it was shortened, I'm not sure it would warrant the extra work and expense!

You said you still want to look around before making a decision so I just wanted to recommend trying to find a stockist of House of Mooshki dresses. They do a big range of tea length dresses and I attended a wedding where the bride wore one recently and the dress was gorgeous!
