Don't be nervous - it's so much fun! And even if you don't find 'the one' you'll still have a great time trying them out and narrowing down the style you want. Have a brilliant time!

I can't wait till I get to my less than a year mark - you must be feeling the same! Honestly, dress shopping is great - just make sure you try on loads of styles, and listen to the ladies in the shop. I was adamant I didn't want the type of fabric I've gone for (chose and ordered my dress on Wednesday!) but one of the ladies suggested I tried a particular dress on and that was it - loved everything about it! And wear decent undies as they will be helping you in and out of all the dresses! Where are you getting married?

We're getting married in Melbourn (near Royston, Herts). It's a little village with a 17th millhouse which has been turned into a hotel/restuarant which has lots of character. Not the grandest venue in the world, but we're not grand people and it has a gorgeous mill pond outside which, if the weather is good (fingers crossed!), we will get married next to. We've sent our save the dates - ours is the last weekend of the Olympics so we figured we needed to give people notice in case they had tickets for anything (although the only people who did end up with tickets were my OHs family - they all got tickets to the mens hockey finals - oops!). Plus we've invited people from America, Ireland, Canada and the best man is coming fro Australia, so we figured the more notice they had for flights, the better.

I could do with my mouth sewing up - I don't drink so alcohol isn't an issue but I do have a huge sweet tooth! I've lost a stone so far but I've promised myself I will lose another 2 in time for the wedding. I've got friends coming for dinnner tonight and I'm doing a trio of desserst so think I will have to do a lot of exercise tomorrow to make up for it!

How are your other plans coming along?

You'll have a fab time! I totally agree about trying on lots of different styles, especially things you think you really don't like.

I went shopping knowing that I hate mermaid shapes, netting and lace. I still hate mermaid shapes (on me!) but my current favourite dress has both net and lace! I looked like a stunned mullet when I first saw myself in it - I loved it but couldn't believe that I loved it ?

Exciting! Hope you have a fab day....my advice would be; even if you have a style in your head that you think you want, try on all sorts (even ones that don't look much on the hanger), and try to let them know near the start what your budget is...saves a lot of heartbreak if you try on one you love and then find out it costs twice as much as you can pay! Hope to see some pics of any contenders Smiley smile
