Congratulations on booking your venue. 'Fraid I don't know your venue, as I'm in the next county to you.

I personally like waistcoats made of the suit material, and as my H2B is getting his cousin to make his suit, I'm hoping he'll decide he wants one like this, rather than the coloured, shiney ones, which I hate. I'm not sure why I don't like them, not keen on cravats either. ?

Hello there. im not getting married there but that venue is fairly local to me, so have seen it. my h2b is also looking at waistcoats made out of suit material as doesnt like the coloured 1s.

Dont know the place, as for waistcoats, i like them but in the same material as the suit, same as above, cant stand the cheap looking shiny ones *shudder* but it depends on the look your going for, if its more casual then you really dont need a waistcoat

Unfortunately being a northerner I dont know your venue but I love the sound of your colour scheme.

I suppose the waistcoats are up to you. I personally like them but if you dont then I cannot see it being a problem.

Im from basildon so not to far from you. its so nice to have somebody local who will be able to swap suppliers and things with. waistcoats im not sure, it depends if you will be hiring/buying suits cos you can hire them to. have you anything else planned ??

I'm trying to make as much as i can myself as we dont really have much to spend!! dont like flowers so we are replacing all flowers with xmas baubles and garlands and feathers and sparkly stuff!!! The venue are taking care of all the catering. Am starting to think about photographers but im holding off on the dress as i want to lose a bit of weight and we are trying for a bubba too so i may have a ginormous bump close to the wedding!!!! How are you getting on??? Have you sorted your venue yet? x

I get married in july next year at mount avenue banquetting in brentwood. so far i have church venue dj florist tog and cars booked, and also made a decision on cake. so if you need any help with those let me know. theres a wedding fair soon in the holiday inn in basildon which might give you some ideas. ooh a bubba, beautiful. you never know you might even have a baby flowergirl/pageboy by the time it comes round, alot can happen in a year and a half. xx

That is very close to me! Where abouts are you based? I've not been in there but did consider it for a hen, have you been to see it? I didn't even know they did weddings tbh so not much help to you, sorry!

To add, h2b and his boys got their suits from Del's Tailors as have most others whose weddings have been in the last few years so I definitely recommend them.

Thanks for all the info ladies!!! We've been to see the venue already and its perfect for what we want, ceremoy upstairs then mega party downstairs afterwards!! The place will be covered in xmas decs already and theyve said we can go and view this year. Dont think theyre going to let us redecorate but tbh im not too bothered as i am going to have pink no matter what and thelady there said they use every tacky colour imaginable lol!!!!!
