2 weeks in to diet and no weight loss - please help

Ofeelia, 28 May, 2009 at 09:05 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 3

I started WW 2 weeks ago and I haven't lost any weight. I've been exercising 3-4 times a weeks which has been a combination of swimming/gym/running. Why haven't I lost anything? I am totally gutted. I am 3 stone above a BMI of 25 so surely I should have lost something? Before I started WW my diet was full of rubbish and I did no exercise at all. This is an example of what I've been eating:

Weetabix and a glass of orange juice for breakfast

WW filled pasta, banana and an apple for lunch

Soup for dinner

Snacks that day were sunflower/pumpkin seeds, a yoghurt and some pineapple.

Bran flakes for breakfast

Ham salad sandwich (wholemeal bread) and a yoghurt for lunch

Fish and vegetable for dinner followed by a banana and an apple

Snacks that day were some nuts and a hot chocolate

They are just examples of what I eat (22 points a day).

Where am I going wrong? I could honestly cry I'm so disappointed. I'm so tempted to do something drastic (VLCD) but I really didn't want to go down that route.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    How annoying!

Um are you drinking enough water? Maybe you need to eat your exercise points as well? And it's always possible that your body is still getting used to the sudden exercise so it grabbing onto whatever it can, which is why you're not loosing but then it'll suddenly realise that even though you're exercising you're not starving and start loosing ?

Also did you measure yourself to start? Even though you may not be loosing the lbs yet you may be loosing the inches ?

I could probably do with drinking so more water but I do drink a fair bit. I'm not sure I could eat my exercise points as I struggle to eat all my points as it is. No I didn't measure myself, I don't feel any thinner. Thanks for the advice Gryfon, I really appreciate it. Just feel gutted after all the effort I've put in with exercise and resisting temptation of chocolate (something which I really struggle with).

Well sick wth it and it'll suddenly work ? Try eating foods with more points if you're struggling to eat what you have already, so maybe an extra piece of bread, an extra banana or something.

Also measure yourself now then in a few weeks if you're still finding it hard you should see the inches coming off ?
