2 weeks today and i feel awful

Martyne, 23 July, 2010 at 10:37 Posted on Planning 0 12

Hi Girlies,

I have two weeks today until im married, and last night i got the most awful butterflies in my stomach. It doesnt help that im due on so feelign quite emotional (I literally just sobbed at mrs jelly's wedding report lol).

Ive still got them today and I dont know if its nerves excitement or just sheer panic. Its my bm's final dress fitting tonight and my cm's uncle died yesterday so she understandably wont be coming and i dont wantto ask her when she wilbe able to try on her dress.

Iv ejust got this awful feeliing, you know when you feel like something is goign to go wrong and i know im being nuerotic but my stomach is in knots.

Is this normal, am I mad, do I need putting down?

I think we need to open the bar early today and give me every bit of alcohol in it

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martyne, you sound just like I was the day before. My Husband actually thought I wasn't going to turn up because I was such a bag of nerves the day before.

There's no easy way to put this but you just need to snap out of it Girl. If you don't you will spoil your day for yourself. The worst thing that can go wrong on that day is you not being able to take your vows and that isn't going to happen so anything else you shouldn't give a rats ass about.

This time is meant to be exciting so please calm down and enjoy it otherwise you'll look back and have some regrets and wonder what there was to worry about x

The only putting down you need is to bed with something alcoholic and strong. The usual advice of take a day off maybe a bit of a stretch with only 2 weeks to go but, if everything does seem to be going to plan, try to spend at least one day relaxing. Don't worry about it, it will be the happiest day of your life I am sure. Smiley smile

WspringS. Even if something does go wrong on the day, worrying about that possibility now won't stop it from happening!

Luckily not reached that stage yet, though I watched a bit of the Katie and Alex circus and the bit where they were putting the rings on made me nervous! It's actually starting to feel real now and my living room door is covered in lists! Contact numbers, things OH needs to bring with him on the day, what things are left to do etc! Good job it needed repainting anyway! ?

Ah, I feel for you but the others are right - easy for me to say now - sure I'll be the same!

Deep breaths and remember as long as you're both there on the day it doesn't really matter what goes wrong so don't worry, you're getting married and that is all that counts. Though I'm sure everything else will be fab to boot!

My Mum now has to have a big shoulder op 3 weeks before our wedding and will be in a cast for the day - she is also giving me away!! I had a moment when we found out last week of deciding whether to panic / feel rubbish or just be glad she is getting sorted and knowing that everyone would look after her and it will all be fine...different and more manic in the run up, but fine. I don't know if this helps with the things that have happened with your BM, it's hard but we can't change what isn't in our control so try to just focus on you and OH.

    Also, heres a Brandy!! ?

I know exactly how you feel!! I felt like that about two weeks ago, was worrying about everything!!!!! Still am but I'm enjoying it now with the attitude, what will be will be!!! I have been making lists and doing certain jobs each day. As its only 8 days now I have family coming down and friends returning form uni so lots of people want to visit, plus i moved house about 6 months ago so loads of people wana see the new house!!! This has been really good as its given me time away from it (even though thats all we have rele spoken about!! Haha!)

Also im not going to think about saying vows/walking down the aisle cos that's my worse fear of messing it all up!! You want your day to be so perfect so keep goign over it, but its probs the worse thing we can do! Ha.

Anyways this morning I have been making up all the sweet bowls for the tables and sorting out what i need to take to venue ect and now im going to have a break and chill. Little jobs!!! Takes you mind of it!! Also im trying not to concentrate on '8 days left' because then i start to panic a little bit, but with excitement all at the same time!!

Good luck with your final weeks planning!!

    P xx

What spring said. you need a virtual slap, a jack daniels, and in all seriousness, RESCUE REMEDY.

worked a treat for me on my day - didn't feel nervous in the slightest, just MEGA excited. it's a miracle juice!
