In process/ongoing : Stationary (have found a fab lady who designs them and then i'll put them together etc), dress chossen but need to confirm details such as colour and i'm having it made to measure so putting that off a couple of months whilst dieting!!! Oh and HM.....am getting quotes etc this morning.

Next on list - Giving notice (although we have booked the registrar), BM dresses (can't find ANYTHING i like!!). Mum and i are going to make the centrepieces so we need to get started on our prototypes and getting materials.

Well done Zippy. Here's a gold star for all your good work! ️⭐️

We have booked church and reception, decided on the design for the invites I now just have to make them all, and then the rest of the stationery! I have finished covering one shoe with diamantes, just another 10 hours of work on the next shoe to go. We've booked the tog and car and found someone to make the BM dresses.

Next things on the list are: booking florist, deciding on honeymoon, booking DJ and finding my dress!

    Hi Zippy!

I thought I was on the ball with everything since I started coming on the forums a couple of weeks ago, it has really given me a kick up the bum to start searching!!

    These are the things I have done;

Made spreadsheets for everything with budgets, updating with actual costs and deposits paid to keep an eye on the cost of things

I have booked the venue and had a couple of meetings with them now - and paid deposit - so is all good.

Have booked the photographer and paid deposit

Have booked the honeymoon and paid deposit

Will be making a final decision by the end of the month about my dress choice - after I have had one last look at the Westcountry Wedding Show next week

Have visited a couple of florists for quotes

Have been looking into cakes and cake stand hire

Need to start looking at rings

Have kind of decided on colour scheme, but that could change......

Have decided on BM dress style I want

Have been searching the net for table decorations, and possible hire of vases

    Have taken out insurance

Have been looking into hiring bouncy castles

Been trawling the net for stationery, havent decided whether I am going to DIY yet

And thats kind of it for the minute, I need to leave it for a couple of days now to take another breath!

    Hello!

Well at the moment i am finding that i want to do things, but then i think. Actually i will do that nearer the time. LOL

Booked/Ordered: Venue and reception (all under one roof) DJ (Which is through the venue), photographer, Florist, Dress, Cake (brother in law in making this for us)

Brought: Guest Book, Ladies favours, socks for the males in the wedding party,

Done: Made the save the dates and posted them

Next on my list: Bridesmaid dresses, once they are ordered can then get their shoes and our jewellery. Men suits (going to do that after xmas). Going to get a head start on the invites. OH's shoes.

We are planning to move a month before the wedding, so really wanted everything kinda wrapped up before then.

Have to admit, when i reaching the 1 year mark, everyone was saying "it will go very quick now" and i used to thought, yeah whatever. But oh my goodness!!!! How quick is this year flying by?!? My birthday is in October, and my OH has just informed me that it's 3 weeks monday!!!! Then it will be bonfire night, then the C word!!!

Hi All, your organisation scares me! I feel like I've got so much to do but so little time to do it in. I just can't seem to make my mind up on anything at the moment!

Booked/Ordered Venue, ceremony, dress, photographer, DJ/Disco plus save the date cards & magents done and sent

    Chosen Suits

Need to do everything else!!! I can't decide on colours which is stopping loads, am looking for a florist and looking at cake designs.

    Panic!

Done: Booked registrar and given notice

    Me three!!!!

Although i am feeling quite organised at the moment, just got back from having another look round the venue today so feeling better about things! Also leart they have some nice vases I can use as centrepeices which is cool!

Done - Church booked, venue booked, dj booked, tog booked. Save the dates have gone out. Cars pretty much sorteed. Dress has finally been dispacted from china, will take 7-10 days and it will be here, and I have a tracking number so i can follow it too! Oh, and have chosen a cake for mum to make - i think, i may change my mind yet though!lol! Honeymoon booked as well.

Ongoing - Mahoosive stationary project, half way through the main invites, and got all the bits i need for everything else, just putting it all together.

Still to do - Sort flowers - meeting florist at the weekend, Sort bridesmaids dresses, finalise mens suits, find rings, choose menu, and do a booze cruise to france to get wine for the wedding day!! And think of something for Hen Do!!

Im sure there are lots of other things to do but cant think of them now! Seeing it all in writing makes me feel more organised though!!

Next on the list: I don't need to do anything now til January time! In a way it's quite good as we can just relax and enjoy being engaged but on the other hand, I want to be doing something!

Gold stars all round I think! I definitely feel that it's starting to seem a bit more real now, not really sure why. Getting quite excited lately though! Here's where I'm at:

Booked/sorted: venue, florist, photographer, videographer, given notice of marriage, invitations been made

In process: decided on honeymoon destination and are now researching safari trips, had a browse of wedding rings, considering possibility of a band or singer, booked first dress shopping appointment

Next: picking the dress is the main priority for me at the moment as I need to ideally have one ordered before Christmas. Also want to start getting my BMs together to look at dresses, and we will also book the above mentioned honeymoon! Beginning of next year I'll look at meeting my florist to go through things in more detail and maybe get some samples arranged, then I'll start looking at what I see as the smaller things, like the cake, favours, wedding party gifts, etc.

I am leaving OH to his own devices with the suits and my CBM is sorting my "main" hen, although I do want to arrange a second one that everyone else can come to that doesn't make the main one.

    It's definitely coming around quickly!

Edited to correct the comment that apparently my CBM is arranging my honeymoon! ? it's obviously on my mind...

I guess I don't have too much to organise compared to you lot!!

Booked: Wedding Ceremony (inc. tog), B&B for Gretna Green and Loch Ness

Bought: Wedding dress, Cape-style cover up (got this the other day and looks fab!), bouquet and button hole for H2B, wedding rings.

To Do: H2B's suit and shoes, my shoes, hotels to stay in whilst travelling to and from Scotland, forms for marriage schedule/thingy!

Hen and stag do's will probably be a combined event - a Hag do - for a night 'up town' aka Colchester. I'm wanting it to be fancy dress! ?

I'm actually feeling quite organised at the moment, apart from worrying about my dress!!

Booked: Church, hotel for reception, dj, tog, videographer, cars, cake, honeymoon, hair and nails..

Bought: My dress (maybe...), 3 of 4 bm dresses, bm gifts, usher gifts, dads gift, my underwear (just need to make sure it will be ok under dress), my shoes (3 pairs in case my legs play up on the day!! any excuse....), rings, tiara, invitations, tank you cards, stuff to make table stationery

Decided: First dance and last song, presents for mums, suits

To do: everything else! Still waiting for florists to get back to me although one I spoke to said to give her 3-4 weeks to get some samples for me to look at as I'm awkeward on colours so no panic on that yet. Need to sort the menu with the hotel and make sure we are still ok to give people choices... but I don't think I have anything pressing to do before Christmas (except make up my mind on my dress...) which is just as well as I have exams in October and then it's Christmas!!!

Next: Going to get the fabric for the bm dresses in Oct or Nov, my friend is making them for me.

I totally agree Millymolly83, my birthday is in October too, then it's my little boys birthday in November then as you said the big C will be here. The rest of this year is just going to fly by.

A little tip on choosing colour schemes - I went to b and q the other day and picked up some colour charts. You can get the individual strips with greens, blues, pinks etc and put them together to see if they match.....

    Just an idea
