2010 Brides - What have we done so far? Inspired by Raef!

Ok, so I was a little freaked out by how much Raef had done already!!! I thought I was so organised, having started all this last year in April!! I did do lots and then had a break though.

So exactly how organised is everyone else? (Just out of interest)

I have:

Booked Church

Booked reception

Ordered Dress

Bought shoes

Ordered Bridesmaid shoes

Booked Photographer

Booked Florist

Booked DJ

Bought all things needed to make stationery

Bought favour boxes

Started making place cards

Bought Save the Dates

Ok, now seeing it written down like that makes me feel more organised than I originally thought!!!

ETA: I have also sort of booked the cake

    Done: Wedding Dress, Wedding Rings.

    To Do: Organise new venue, H2B's suit, wedding shoes, bolero/shrug, honeymoon.

    Aaah, I feel so special! (And a little bit bad that I appear to have freaked so many people out! I am just one of those people that thinks of doing something and has to do it there. Impulsive and impatient!)

    It never seems like you've done much compared to others but you always feel better once it's written down. <saddo alert icon> I have a book with a page dedicated to each item for ideas / writing down when deposits paid etc just to keep a track of things and it wasn't until I did that that I realised how much I'd done and that I needed to slow down!

    Am sure I'll forget something. Keep having dreams that it's the wedding day and nothing is how I want it!

    Organise List of hotel and b & b's for people (top priority !!)

    Errrrr think that's it ! Think I am quite well organised ?

    Ok now im scared, especially as im a month before you zippy and you have done more than me. so far i have:

    booked church

    booked reception

    dj

    cars

    photographer

    and the the plan for me next month is get some quotes decide on a florist and book it. iv also decided that i will be getting save the dates arranged soon as well. zippy when are you sending yours out?

    I'll make you feel better Zippy! We have:

    - Booked venue

    - Booked caterer

    - Booked tog

    - Provisionally booked registrar (will be confirmed when we can give notice to marry in Oct 09)

    - Bought bridesmaid dresses

    - Booked pianist

    - Got some holiday brochures for honeymoon ideas!

    I do have lots of ideas on what I wanted for the other stuff. I'm trying to eke it out as I don't want to peak too soon!

    However I have read many mags and have loads of ideas and have chosen my colour scheme

    Booked our registrar (though still trying to get an earlier time)

    Bought my wedding dress

    Bought & sent out save the date magnets

    Ordered wedding rings

    Bought favour flower pots

    I've also spent A LOT of time looking flowers, photographers, bands, bridesmaids dresses...

    Provisionally booked registrar (give notice in July 09)

    Bought my dress & shoes

    Bought stationary for save the dates, invites & place name cards.

    Think thats it so far.

    Booked our wedding venue (civil ceremony - country house)

    Got my dress

    Designed our rings and commisioned them

    booked our tog

    booked our florist - the fab By Georgie of Hitched

    provisionally booked our on the day coordinator - the lovely Ruth from Finesse

    Got our save the dates

    Cake is sorted (family friend)

    Chosen best men and bridesmaids

    Evening entertainment sorted.

    Not much really, now I am starting to worry that everyone else has done loads!!

    OMG and people have been telling me i'm over organised!!!!

    Venue (reception and ceremony)

    Car (to be confirmed but family friend)

    Dress (chosen, to be booked)

    Registrar booked

    Designed rings (to be confirmed and ordered)

    Designed stationary including save the dates so they can be sent in a couple of months

    Honeymoon researched and decided on, to be booked

    To Do:

    Everything else!!!! I thought i had all the major things covered but now i'm a bit worried!!!

    Got an idea on what we want for suits, cars and honeymoon but nothing booked yet

    When arrive in Turkey we need to choose cake, flowers, decs and stuff like that! (all pre paid for in the wedding package)

    We're pretty much sorted as much as we can for now! I can't get my bridesmaids sorted yet as one wants to lose weight and the other wants to put some on! So will leave that until early next year i think.. maybe end of this summer season...Sales.. Hmm... And my little flowergirl.. well.. she needs to age! Atm she's really little, but my have a growth spurt so i need to leave that as late as i can! I'm thinking a little white dress from monsoon so they'll do them next year too.. hopefully!

    Well I have -

    booked the venue ( civil ceremony and having reception there as well, food is privided by them)

    DJ (included with the venue)

    harpist for the ceremony and drinks after

    booked photographer

    cake but need to decided on the little details (OH and MIL2b are making this)

    got my shoes

    got all stationary to make the invites and table plan

    started to make the placecards (well I made 1 last night!)

    sent out save the date email

    got favours for girls - seed papers in the shape if hearts, when you plant them flowers grow apparently

    ordered boxes for mens favours and got ingredients (going to attempt to make fudge)

    almost organised a florist, its a friends sister she will be qualified by nxt year but isnt yet, so making sure she feels confident in what we are asking of her

    got a guest list although i am sure this will change by next year.

    chosen BM (my sis) and best man and ushers, thought about what style fo dress/suit for them but not got any further with that

    got a colour scheme

    dont think we are going to have a car - we are getting married outside (weather depending) and when we arrive at the venue we will be parking just out of view so no one will see the car and I would rather spend the money on the harpist

    need to-

    make invites and placecards

    sort out my dress, veil, jewellery (although seen a necklace I like)

    poss hairdresser and make up artist

    accommadation for 1st night and poss night before wedding so I can be really close to the venue

    Bm dress

    suits for OH, BM and ushers

    presents for BM, best man, parents

    wedding rings

    guest book

    post box

    honeymoon

    erm cant think of anything else, oh thats better my to do list isnt too long!

    how are you making the wine charms and where did you get the stuff from? I would like to get some for the women in the bridal party as an extra little gift

    Sorted invites (family friend)

    Sorted transport (family friend!)

    Chosen colour scheme

    Next on our list is a bit of honeymoon research as we want to book it early so we can have enough time to pay it off. My CBM is sorting my hen weekend, and I'm also going to look into the possibility of a band doing a couple of sets in the evening. Then it will be dresses, for me and BMs - looking at doing that in 3-4 months time!

    I bought the rings from e*bay along with the round nose pliers then bought the crystals and charms from PG, ws a bit fiddly but didn't take too long ?

    I got told yesterday how organised I was...now I am not so sure!!

    I have so far..

    Booked the reception venue

    Booked the Church

    Decided on the cars

    Told my mum she can make the cake!

    Sort of decided on the colour scheme...

    Off to have a look in some mags now...feel like I should have done more!!
