    We are in Ashford!!

    Totally agree, it certainly ticked all our boxes!

    We paid our deposit last month, going back this week to pay the deposit on the rooms!

    Hi Juicymelons and millymolly83 - i am a kent 2010 bride too!

    Getting married in april 23rd at Archbishops Palace then reception at larkfield Priory hotel in maidstone - just over a year and a half now - very excited! I think stazzle is a kent 2010 bride as well. Where bouts in kent do you live? Im in medway x

    It's a small world isn't it?!

    I love the Archbishops Palace, we looked their as H2B is from Maidstone. Very nice place!

    I've got 2 years friday and i am already so excited!! Heaven knows what i will be like this time in 2 years!

    A nervous wreck maybe?!

    Isn't that amazing !!!!! We absolutely fell in love with it, I loved the fact that it was exclusive for our use and they seem to specialise in Weddings. I am not far from Ashford, I am just outside Tenterden ?

    We also looked at Eastwell Manor and the London Beach Hotel, but the Little Silver was perfect !

    We're going abroad as we've had family troubles - my parents and his parents fell out and we cancelled wedding first time round because of it. We chose Tobago after seeing it on one of the David Attenborough series!

    At the moment i am getting from my mum "it's ages away yet, but what i would do is..." or "it's your wedding, but in my opinion..."

    My mum got in a right huff when I vetoed the idea for a horse-drawn carriage when we were planning for the original wedding. It seems that some parents want to live their wedding through their offspring, IYSWIM.

    Well this is my second wedding, my parents paid for the first and it ended up being everything they wanted with not a lot of what I wanted grrrrr

    This time we are paying for it ourselves so I get to decide who, what, when and why !!! Hmmmm maybe that should be WE will decide !!!!!!!

    Whoo!! I've now got under 2 years to go!!! ?

    Feels a bit strange, knowing that this time in 2 years i will be married!! ?

    Went back to the wedding venue yesterday to show my sister (cheif Bridesmaid) Neice (bridesmaid) and brother in law (best man). They all loved it! Was nice to see it all ready for a wedding! (also managed to get a few more ideas LOL)

    Hi

    The first time we saw Little Silver it was all set up for a wedding it was gorgeous ?

    We met with a photographer yesterday, her photo's were brilliant she was lovely and we would have been more than happy booking her, but we have got two more photographers to see over next week or so, so we decided that really we should have something to compare her photo's with. Though now I am stressing that she will be booked up for our date in a few weeks and these other photographers might not be as good aagghhhhhh !!

    I think we will have to up our photography budget, we thought it would be around £1500 but looking at prices we need to add another £500 on, still it's the one area I don't want to compromise on so hey ho my other half will have to do a little bit of overtime ?

    We are meeting with 2 next month, and arranging to meet with another 2. Like you we have our heart already set on one particular photographer, but we want to look around.

    I know, we thought about £1000 to £1500, but the cheapest ones are £2000! But like you, we want the best. It's the only "official" reminder of the day, and the photos are going to be looked at for many many years. So don't want no cheap horrible ones LOL!

    What photographer are you seeing (sorry, just so nosey. And i like getting ideas ?) have already thought, crikey who wants to be a wedding planner for a living! It is so much hard work He He

    I'm getting there!! Got the venue/disco which i guess is a start. Getting photographer within the next month.

    Would like to do so much more, but can't! ☹️

    Has anyone thought about wedding invites yet? We are going to make our own. We like the idea of the envelope style ones. But can't seem to find any DIY ones! Which is a bummer!

    We are making our own invites. Do you mean the pocketfold ones? Or the ones which are like a cd sleeve? Google Envolopments and you will find them, we were going to do pocketfolds but think it might be too much work, so opting for the sleeve type pockets instead.

    We have booked reception venue and photographer.

    The strange thing is, the tiny little things, like wedding favours and what confetti to have on the table all of a sudden seem as important as the dress!

    I'm still checking to see if I can book flights but the timetables still don't cover April 2010 so flights may be booked in the new year.

    Currently looking at dresses and debating between going for a made to measure or off-the-peg.
