Ooooh! What's the dress like?

I am having it in Ivory, but part of me wants the pale gold one!

That dress hunni is totally stunning!!!

Really want to go dress shopping, but i want to lose a few stone before the actual day!

Well I have met with another photographer but she didn't give me a vibe that makes me want to pay almost £3k for the photo's eeeek !!

I still prefer the first one I met with.

Today I went to see a florist, they have been highly recommended by several people, the prices are reasonable (I think) and they only do one wedding a day and will come to the venue and arrange everything. I am seeing them again in October to go into things in more detail. Obviously I can't give them colour schemes yet, but they will show me lot's of examples of their work so I am very happy.

I didn't think I was going to book things so soon, but now I am thinking that I know who I want to do most things so I may as well get them booked and go into finer details nearer the time.

One thing I am holding off on is dress shopping, I want to lose about 48 stone so I am leaving that until probably this time next year, however I keep walking pass my local bridal shop and I swear the dummies are saying"come in Suze, you know you want to" !!! Not sure how much longer I can resist lol

£3000 for photographer? Wow! I thought ours was a lot at £1650 but he is worth it. Where in the country are you? Here is ours.

We are in Kent, so not close to you, though my geography is pants !!

The photographer was £2200 but that was for 50 photo's in an album, for extra pictures it was £25 per photo regardless of photo size, so to do the same as the photographer we prefer it was going to be £3k. The other photgrapher I saw did 90 to 100 for the same price and I preferred her pictures, so it's a no brainer really !!

Planning is good I think (possibly to good), church is booked, reception boooked and car also booked. I've bought the bubbles for the tables as they were a really good deal. I'm worried I'm possibly to organised for this stage? How about u? How's your planning going?

Although I'm quite organised is some aspects I still can't decide on a theme or colour scheme! I love brown and cream but I feel I need something more summery with the wedding being July!!!

Could possibly be an area thing. Ours was the best we could find for our area, and for £1650 we get a digital album, 90 prints in a box, 5 accessory albums and 100 thankyou cards with a photo of our choice on. A lot of people told us that was expensive, but I only had to see the website and cd he sent, and there was no comparison with any others.

Wow that seems like a brilliant package, with the first one we saw we get thank you cards with a photo on but the "parent" albums are another £200 each.

I think I need to move to another county !!!!

I just looked at ours for you but it would seem that he only covers East Anglia. It might be worth posting a request on here for photographer reccomendations in your area. I have seen others do it and get a great response.

I'm beginning to think my date might be cursed and thats why noone else is choosing it!

I haven't got a wedding twin either, but then i am sure nearer the time we will!!

Well i feel too organised!!! I have the venue (also our reception) booked, paid the deposit on the register, meeting set up with the photograper/s. Have got the wedding favours for ladies (gorgeous candles, in our colour theme, total bargin off bay of e) the colour and theme (well gold and cream and hearts) have ordered the invites, we are making ours so we wanted plenty of time in case we completely messed them up!

When i think about the actual day i get butterflies already!! Going to be a nervous wreck within 2 years!

I'm quite organised too. We are making our own invites too, and am waiting for work to put a ribbon order in so I can get my grosgrain ribbon. Once they do that I will order the invitation blanks and paper roses, and start work on them towards the end of the year. I know it sounds early but I figured that with about 65 invites, 65 favour boxes, 65 Order of Service, Table Plan, Table Names, Place Cards etc, it might take some time, and I would rather make 2 or 3 per spare night I get rather than spend a few weeks rushing around, and risking mistakes. I am a bit of a perfectionist and want to get it right.

I am away with work next weekend, but when I get back I am going to be ordering my dress before they discontinue the style. Then things will start feeling very real. I watched our photographer's cd-rom again last night and got butterflies!

I was thinking about making my own invites but then I came across some called Little Gems (can't remember the site), you can choose from 3 different flowers so I'm going with them.

I'm making my own save the date fridge magnets though, gettting excited that I have almost completed the "design" in my head, I have ordered the pre-folded card, ribbon and envelopes to post them in so when they come I will send them out ?, just going to print the details on ivory pearlescent paper and cut to size then add some diamonte's...can't wait ?

When is everyone sending their Save the dates out? I was thinking beginning of AUgust 09. Give a years notice.

We are thinking about july/August next year. Then the actual invites March/April 2010

On the planning side we chose our wedding rings this weekend, it was the most fun I have had so far, we went with a company called forever wedding rings and they came to our home and it was all very laid back.

I am so glad we're not getting wed to 2010 as i'll need 2 years to pay off the rings!!!

So has anyone done anymore planning, booked anything else ?

We have finally booked a photographer phew !! We saw three in total all really good, but one in particular stood out, she was a lovely bubbly lady. Her photo's were amazing and we felt that we would be very relaxed with her and probably have a good giggle to. So that's another thing off the list ?

Nothing else booked as yet. Received my invitations this week, so at least i have plenty of time to get them made up and have a play about for them.

Going to my first ever wedding fair tomorrow!! So excited!!!
