2011 Brides- how far along are your plans?

I feel a bit too organised. Booked the venue and catering and band and photographer. well on my way to picking a dress lol. just all seemed to fall into place. at this rate i'll not have much left to do lol

Im a 2010 bride and i have to be honest its never too early to plan or book things, especialy if its something you know you want, i had pretty much everything sorted by May this year! the only thing is because ive been so 'on top of things' im now getting stuck in a lull ☹️

We havent booked anything yet.. we know the venues but neither will book until christmas is over i cant wait now as want to confirm my date etc...

We managed to book our venue last week, just to get it done before xmas, it is so nice to have the date sorted now! At least you know where you want so you can get it done first thing in the new year...

I'm not really sure where to start now, i think after xmas and new year is out of the way i'll start looking at dresses and other bits, just not sure which bits!

I no what you mean... i want to lose some weight before i start looking at dresses so think i might leave it till about may - june time... for my dress...

think i will start with sorting out the save the date cards as we are hoping to book a popular weekend...

I am June 2011 and have so far booked/bought:

Venue (which includes ceremony, DJ, Choc Fountain and Fireworks)

Registrar

Flowers

Wedding Dress

BM Dresses and Shoes

Am actually sat here writing my Christmas cards and will be sending them out with our Save the Dates in them.

I am a January 2011 bride so barely!

I have:

Booked and paid the deposit on my venue, chair covers, DJ, sent Save the Dates, made tester DVD invite and bought several bits and pieces- including my dress!

I also have a comprehensive spreadsheet and timescale for next year! I am a PA so its in my blood!

I forgot about chair covers, we have booked those too !!

I'm quite an organised person (comes as part of my job) but I don't want to get everything done and then it seem ages until the wedding actually arrives!

I think I'll start in the new year thinking about other things....

and i have made enquries re mens suits and florists which is my next mission to book! We've been to a few wedding fayres too.

We've booked the church and venue but going to try and not think about it until this time next year-as if! hence why i'm on here hehe.

It's just all so lovely isn't it?

Hey - i have booked so far, venues and photographer. Next on my list is entertainment then most likely florists and dress.

Think i may start looking for my dress in June

We're looking at July/Aug 2011 but are not going to see the venue until next March, so not booking anything until the venue is booked.

Have been to one wedding fayre which was completely disappointed with, so gonna wait now until venue is booked.

So far I/We've

• chosen the date and booked the registry office
• sorted out guest list
• chosen bridesmaids's and bestman
• found my dress (just need to order it)
• almost made a decision about the reception venue
• nearly decided on a photographer
• decided what flowers i like
• decided on table decorations

getting there!!

Up to now all we've done is book the venue. ?

We pretty much have our guest list sorted but haven't sent out save the dates yet. Maybe should do that soon as our wedding is midweek so people will need time off work.

I've got lots of ideas for everything such as colour themes, stationary, food, entertainment, dresses etc but just havent actually done much yet!

LauraSJ, you're getting married just before me but you've done so much more!! Makes me feels like i should get going with things!!

We're going to the Wedding Show at Newcastle at the end of January so hoping to really get started with the plans then!

Oooo and yesterday i booked the photographer.....just need to send the deposit ?

We are getting married in October 2011. We have the Church and reception venue booked and confirmed. Bu thats all, everything else is just ideas.
