Hello ? I'm a 2011 bride - hoping to book our weding for 4th June 2011. I know the venue's free but need to check with the church first.

Ooh, me please! Hopefully May at some point, venue will be booked shortly so will be able to give a definite date soon (how exciting/terrifying will that be?!).

Ive put you under may with a ? instead of a specific date, ill update it when you have booked your venue. im still trying to find a venue that ticks all the boxes and im starting to worry that it doesnt exist within our budget.

Where abouts are you all from?

I'm from Medway, Kent. Went to a Wedding Fair today and it all felt so overwhelming, but exciting, too. We are going to start looking at venues soon, although I think I've found one I love already but will have to wait and see. Where you from?

Hi! We're hopefully going to be 26th February 2011. We're going back to view our venue tomorrow night and make sure its exactly how we remember it! Its so exciting but still a bit strange we got engaged two months ago.

NicNacNoo i have already brought my dress! and i havent booked a venue yet ?

I know its kinda the wrong way round but i fell in love with the dress and it had 20% off so i brought it! luckily i havent changed shape in years so hopefully i will still be the same size in 2011!

I'm beginning to think the dress is the most important bit!! I've kept it out the budget as my H2B doesn't quite agree on how much I want to spend - he's still trying to get his head round how his suits can be hired for well under£100 but my dress may be at least ten times that!! Its so exciting!

How long have you be engaged for?

We got engaged in Nov but have been very slow planning things because I finish uni in 8 weeks so decided to wait until i was earning and knew where i would be working before we booked anything.

That sounds like a god idea! I've loved looking round everywhere - its so good to be planning a massive party for all our family and friends! Good luck with the rest of uni and finding the right job!

Thanks, although i have a job already ive just got to pass my degree. im lucky that my career is not affetced by the credit crunch (radiotherapy)

Hi ladies I am planning my wedding for 30th April 2011 and hoipng to book Melville castle in Edinburgh next weekend!!! OMG most venues I have viewed are fully booked for weekends between March - September 2011 best get in quick...............and I have my dress it was a bargain I couldn't refuse. 1st post for me not quite sure of this site yet

Hello... Can you add me please? 30th April 2011..sounds like such a long way away really!!! This is only my 2nd post and am still not sure what I'm doing!!

We have booked a venue but no idea what to do now..I have books and magazines but am still completely stumped! My fiance (still a novelty saying that!) is great but not very motivated so if I don't do it nothing will get done!! Help is gratefully recevied!!

(Oh man, I'm still not used to this Hitching business - I just wrote a really long message then lost it all!)

Pandapops, I know exactly how your feeling, have a look at my thread that I posted a few weeks ago https://www.hitched.co.uk/Chat/forums/t/106802.aspx I found the replies really helpful and I have since got really carried away with all the organising, to the point where I getting frustrated that some companies I'm contacting won't give quotes that far in advance!

Hitched is definately a great way to start planning and get inspiration, and queries or problems or random rants you've got, just post! There's loads of people on here to help you!

Alex- yes I do know Ty. Everything with uni is finally slotting into place and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Ive got a job at derby as long as I pass everything.

I cant believe we already have date twins on 30th april.

I can give you a proper date now, yay - 22nd May!

Were looking at May 2011 to get wed in Jamaica... probably somewhere around the 7th.... It seems May '11 is SO SO far away but i want to plan and save for the perfect wedding (dont we all) Im new to this as we have only just started looking but im so excited..... i love reding these boards enjoy every1 elses excitement too :-) Good Luck & Congratulations to all.

I'll be heading to what looks like is going to be a fantastic wedding fair at the NEC in Birmingham in October this year, I cant wait..... This will be my 1st wedding fair (for myself) and im so excited... may go to another before hand if one pops up closer to home, but ive been told the NEC fair will be fab as a friend of mine went in 2007 :-)

We've only been engaged 4 weeks and everything is still very, very new and exciting

Anyway, we're thinking June 2011 either the 11th or 25th, depending on venue availability. I know it seems ages away but I'm sure it'll come around quicky.
