Getting married on the 21st may 2011, also my 30th birthday, what better way to celebrate ?

I`m so excited?, we booked the church last night, although may see if i can change the time, as don`t want to have to wait till 3pm to have to see my boyfriend ( not engaged as yet!!!!)

We have got 2 venues in mind for the reception, and we are going to look at them over the next couple of weeks and then decide.

I`m so happy.

We seem to be growing in size rapidly!

Planning wise,have booked church and venue so far, so I feel I can relax a little bit at the moment.

Am getting very happily exited by the whole thing.

lol! Sure I will!! Planning i good! The venue has been sorted for a few months and last weekend we got the bridesmaids dresses sorted as one of my bridesmaids is leaving to travel the world tomorrow!!! So we did some weddingy things together as she was dissapointed to be missing out. We also had out engagement party last weekend which was really good! The first party (as an adult!) we've had for ourselves and most the guests are coming for the wedding so a good party is looking promising! Now I feel I can really get my teeth into the planning! Hows yours coming along?

My wedding date has been brought forward to next year so I was wondering if someone wanted to take over this forum from me as I feel it would benefit from someone getting married in 2011 running it. Im guessing it will just be a simple case of copying and pasting the first post with all the dates on into a new forum. Im sorry to be leaving you, i truley didnt think we would ever be able to afford to get married next year which is why I decided to run the list.

Wow! you sound a lot more organised than I am and I'm now 7months before you lol...tbh dress/colour scheme/favours are all up in the air! I've had to litterally go back to square one! which is a bummer but also exciting! I'm quite jealous of your BM, I went travelling a lot when I was younger and deep down I still have the travel bug! I'm glad you enjoyed your engagement party! Atleast now you have an idea of who's coming! Where is your venue? What BM dresses have you picked? xxx

Mummy 2 Hannah!!

We're getting married at Wentbridge House Hotel in Pontefract West Yorkshire - there'll be some nice log fires to add to the wintery feel! I'm also very jealous of my BM!! She's been doing a blog for us and it's fab! I'm just keeping our honeymoon in mind as we're going to tour southwest America - Las Vegas, Gran Canyon etc for three weeks - its a good insentive to save as I'm normally rubbish.

The bridesmaids dresses are Alfred Angelo in eggplant (what a rubbish name!) I'll try and add pics

I've let them choose which ever style they like just in the colour - the colour is a bit better in real life!! I just have my third bridesmaid to decide now - she likes them all!!!

What colours are you thinking?

Nic Nac Noo - i love the pictures you added of your bridesmaid dresses, stunning colour - you bought them already - if so your super organised x

NicNacNoo I just Googled your venue and the grounds look lush!! I love your BM dress colour too! Yes Eggplant is a rubbish name. lol It's like Duck Egg - I love the colour but what a naff name!! I love the idea of going round Western America too - my parents did that in the 80's with about 6 places! If we can afford it I'm going to take my H2B to NewYork as a honeymoon...although it's not looking likely lol.

Colours - hmm....I still love my Choc Brown and Pink colour scheme but I think brown dresses will be too hot for Cyprus! I keep Googling colours but can't find anything. I suppose I can be abit more bold with colours abroad! My save the dates will be here on Monday, they were a light blue...

Never posted on this list before, didn't know it actually existed! Planning a December2011 wedding, going to see first venue tomorrow! Think we're going for either a deep latte colour or deep purple, still debating between the two!

Agentblackcat (love the name!) - I haven't bought them but the shop has taken sizes so I will do soon. It just kind of happened - they were practically the first ones they tried and liked! My friends are easy to please! lol!

Mummy2Hannah - I love the idea of blue - light blue was the other colour choice but one of my bridesmaids is ginger and it didn't really flatter her!!! Blues would tie in with the sea and sky - its really exciting getting married some where warm! Chocolate brown and pink would be nice as well - you could go fro pink bein the predominant colou with the chocolate brown? Why don't you start a thread about colours and ideas as some people seem to haveloads of brill pictures that match theme boards or colours?

Next on the agenda is dress shopping in 3 weeks with the mum abd future MIL we're making a weekend of it as my mum lives in London - I'm trying to loose a few pounds but the wine keeps getting in the way!!!!

How do you plan flowers, decoration etc when you have a wedding abroad?

Thank you again for suggesting the shells...I can't believe I hadn't thought about that lol. I was in such a flap the other night lol...I still havn't had the chance to speak to my red headed BM, but as soon as I do I should hopefully have a colour scheme sorted. Still can't get the brown/pink out of my head though lol.

I know what you mean about trying to lose a few pounds, but wine not helping!! I've still got a mummy tummy, plus 2stone I've put on since having Hannah! Have you tried WeightWatchers or SlimmingWorld?

Where in London does your mam live? I'm originally from Heathrow, only been up here a couple of years! I can't believe my daughter's going to have a Geordie accent lol.

As for planning flowers, decorations etc...it's all internet! Google has become my best friend lol xx

Sorry for the late reply I've been on hoiday for the week.

I'm from Ruislip originally so not to far from you and I've moved to West Yorkshire 10 years ago! I'm on weight loss resources website which does help cos I log everthing and it calorie counts for me - I'm trying to re-educate myself on healthy eating - Although as you say wine gets in the way!

I'm glad I redeemed myself a bit! I've only just started this forum malarkey on this and the weight loss site and I keep putting my foot in it - I'm normally quite tactful in 'real' life so its a bit odd!!!!

Good luck with the planning - I'm looking forward to seeing all your plans come together!!

Ooh I know Ruislip well! I'm actually from Hayes, and went to Douay Martyrs in Ickenham! How was your holiday? Where did you go?

Honestly you wernt to know I even had a ginger BM, so you wernt being tactless!

Douay Martyrs! Well it is a very small world!! Was your H2B the reason you moved away? I moved up for uni and never went back!!

We went to Barcelona and it was fab! The sun shone and it was gorgeous and warm! Its our last holiday abroad before the wedding so we can save as we want to go to America and travel around the Southwest and California for the honeymoon - lots of saving to do!!We've got another week off now and we're doing some DIY and decorating the spare bedroom - back to reality!!

The weight loss website is working really well and I've lost 5lbs since 2nd week of September and half an inch on my waist and hips!! I was 14/16 and the 14's fit nicely now so I'm quite pleased. Logging the snacks and stuff was awful at first but I learnt quite quick which treats weren't so bad - biscuits were my downfall and I hadn't even realised!

Will you do 'flash' when you've got some details together? Hannah will be walking by then won't she? Is she coming down the aisle with you?

Glad you had a lovely holiday!! and am quite jealous you got the sun!! We're "going away" tomorrow (well, today now) for my birthday on Wednesday! Though when I say going away - we're actually staying in Newcastle for the 2 nights lol. We were going to go out to the coast but the weather looks pants! Anything to get out of this blinking house for a couple of days will be lush!!

That's fab losing a noticeable difference already!! Have you found you've changed your eating habits since starting it? 14/16 still isnt big, mind!! What's your ideal size to be down to for the big day? I'm going to sound like a total cow here - but before having Hannah, I was an 8/10 on top and a 10/12 on bottom - and really thought I was fat! So four stone on, I can now see it was all in my head, but you can imagine how I feel about my body now at a 16/18! Hannah is worth it though lol...but need to do something drastic before Cyprus!

I will certainly do a flash when I get a few bits sorted...I see you saw the invites! tbh I'm so far behind at the mo, that's all I've really got! Going to have to get cracking very soon! Yeah, Hannah will be walking down the aisle, probably a FG - though she'll probably just run around! lol I'm sure it'll add to the 'cute' factor!

Have you got anything else sorted since we last spoke? When are you off to London for your dress shopping? Do you get to go down to Ruislip a lot? I was going to go down next month, but ended up spending the money on Frankie Boyle tickets as a Xmas present for H2B. My dad's coming up in December anyway!

Sorry if this has been quite babbly! I'm shattered but can't sleep lol
