I'm a 2012 and there's quite a few of us on here now, including Dec brides. There's a thread specially for 2012 brides so come on over.

I'm the 29th of July.

My biggest tip for you is decide on the type of wedding you want and look for suitable venues straight away and approach them now. You may just get them at this yrs price. I booked mine last April and got last yrs price.

I'm looking everywhere for venues just too many to pick from lol! ive got a couple of dates in mind but worried because they are mid week and a lot of my family would be working! do u think silver and purple are good colours for a dec wedding?

Yeah they sound nice, if you go for a deep purple it'll seem even more wintery.

No it's never to early. Don't be put off my friends and family saying oh but it's still two yrs away. Good wedding venues especially get snapped up quickly.

We got engaged Jan 09, booked our venue April 09 and get married July 12.

I've found a couple pf places that look stunning been asking for prices etc!

Sounds amazing! i really want that date as it will never be again! how are you finding having the day on a wednesday regards to family friends etc are they happy to take time off work and stuff because thats the one thing thats worrying me slightly! Im looking at two places atm which i can have the whole day there but need to go and view each of them before i choose i think! have you started looking for a dress? i dont really know what to start with and tips? xx

I'm also rather new, hoping to get married in June 2012 but having a total nightmare with venues, we've only been engaged 2 weeks, I've already turned into bridezilla. We live in SW London and have a budget so small you can barely see it! Where's the 2012 thread?!

Good luck with your planning! 12/12/12 is a great date. We had chosen 2/6/12 because 2 times 6 is 12 (I'm an OCD number weirdo maths geek!) but already a few places we've looked have been booked, d'oh!

I'm new here too, we're probably getting married in September 2012. We aren't setting anything in stone yet, but are going along to a local wedding fayre this Sunday just to get a general idea, especially about venues as we have no clue. Lol!
