2012 Brides 'Got-List'

Wondering how organised you 2012 ladies are, I'm April and not quite sure if I'm organised or not lol. Thought we could post what we have got/arranged and see how we're all getting on? I have got......... Humanist Celebrant, Wedding Venue, Reception Venue, Shoes, Perfume, Tiara, Jewellery, Table...

I have got.........

Humanist Celebrant, Wedding Venue, Reception Venue, Shoes, Perfume, Tiara, Jewellery, Table decor, centrepieces, Guest List, Favour boxes, Miniature whiskey for the men, Cake ordered, Present for best man, presents for child bridesmaid and flower girls, one bridesmaids shoes..lol

    I feel really disorganised after reading everyone elses lists.

    We have sorted:

    The Venue

    Registar

    Tog

    That's it! ?

    We're in the middle of getting a quote from the jeweller for our rings and the BM is planning her dress. I have decided to make my own felt flowers rather than using a florist. We really want our e-shoot sorting for September so I need to get organised.

    We're getting married 4th August 2012 and so far have:

    • Booked and filled in the paperwork for the church
    • Booked the venue
    • Booked the photographer
    • Bought my save the date magnets
    • Bought sweetie buffet jars
    • Bought picture frames for the table names
    • My MIL2B has bought my necklace and i'm in the process of having the matching bracelet made
    • Bought rings
    • Honeymoon booked

    And that's it. Not sure if I should be more organised really but think I still have plenty of time.

    4th August and have organised:

    Church

    Reception Venue

    TOG

    Car

    STD sent

    Cake as BM's mum is doing

    Flowers as a mate is doing them

    Currently making invites

    My Dress

    Guest List

    Hair

    DJ

    Caterer

    Gifts sorted just need to buy.

    I'm currently having issues with reception as can't think of a theme for decs etc.

    I am July 2012 and so far ive got:

    ceremony & venue booked

    given notice

    florist & decorator booked

    Photographer booked

    DJ booked

    My dress ordered, veil, underwear & shoes bought

    BM dresses ordered

    Cake booked

    Appointment for suits arranged

    hair/make up artists booked

    favours decided on just got to buy.

    Still deciding whether to have videographer

    accomodation booked for night before & night of wedding.

    Invitations chosen just got to order.

    going wedding ring shopping in next couple of weeks & need to sort honeymoon but cant decide where to go.

    Still gotta sort presents, hair pieces for bridesmaids and my jewelry

    Sure there will be something I forgot. I feel like im at stage where ive not got anything left to do.

    I can add the honeymoon to the done list now ? We got the confirmation that we have a Swedish kaata to camp in for the week. We're staying here https://www.comriecroft.com/katas

    We're 25th August 2012

    Done:

    Church, Reception venue, Togs, Dress, STDs, guest signing frame,

    Work in progress:

    Cars, Flowers, BM dresses, table centres (got family on the case, saving as many jam jars as possible), order of day and order of service cake is half decided but not bought, as are favours.

    Not done anything about:

    Suits, invites, rings, DJ, Chair covers (had quote but not decided) honeymoon, all accessories, hair and make up (although i think i might do them myself) gifts,

    Wow! Everyone is so organised!

    We have booked ceremony and venue, photographer, DJ and chair covers. Oh and I have bought my shoes and ties for the wedding party!!

    However, we have chosen our honeymoon, decor, favours, cake and invitations... think I had better get a move on!

    I'm 7th Sept 2012 and we have:

    • Church booked
    • Reception booked
    • Car sorted
    • Photographer booked
    • Dress bought
    • Deposits paid for on BMs dresses
    • Deposit paid for on invitations
    • Deposit on chair covers paid
    • Chosen colour scheme and theme
    • Have decided on cupcake lady
    • Booked honeymoon

    I think thats it.

    Oh no - i'm the day after you Hawk...

    All i've done is booked church and reception venue!

    But, we have a good idea what we want - colours, centre pieces, style etc. Just need to get in gear and actually book it!

    Emails have gone out to various car people, so hopefully that will be sorted this week, and meeting photographer next week.

    Oh my goodness. 27th Oct here and we haven't done anything apart from agree on a date and throw a few ideas around ? Too busy renovating a house to even think about it ? Yikes!!!

    Don't panic! You have over a year to sort things!

    We are getting married 12th November 2011 and still haven't confirmed our venue, got a dress or in fact done anything else... ! I wasn't panicking at all, until I spotted this forum!

    I think I'm too organised for my own good. SIL is getting married 30th June 2012 and all she has done is booked church, venue and TOG.

    I am 22nd June, and have so far got/booked:

    Ceremony venue

    Reception hotel package (inc meal, bridal suite, somewhere to get ready before, toastmaster etc)

    my dress and shoes

    invites (amazing vista print deal)

    table decs

    TOG (uncle doing as a gift)

    DJ (BIL doing as gift)

    cake - making my own

    I'm about halfway through, but have a lot of things decided on, just a case of ordering and placing deposits.

    I saw the bham ebay dress lady on Sat, she has given me a quote for the dresses I want made (all written down), but I dont have to order from her until xmas time

    My FGs and PB's are having off the peg suit and dresses, but as they grow so quickly, I wont be getting them until easter holiday time.

    OH and men will be going for suits by end of Sept.

    GIving notice next Friday afternoon (I booked my appointment to do this back in June, so I cant believe how quickly time has gone!!)

    Accessories still to get; my underwear, jewellery etc, maids' shoes, bags jewellery

    I just have to find a florist (although I'm only having 1 boquet, 2 corsages, and 7 buttonholes) but I'm not stressing too much about that, and decide on my transport. THere is a bus stop outside my hotel that goes to the registry office, so if all else fails, I'll just get myself a day ticket lol!

    I'm also a bit undecided on favours; I'd prefer to do a little sweetie buffet instead of favours but I'll have to see how much money is in the pot before I decide what I'm doing

    Need to do everything else.........seems so much to do!!

    I'm the 24th august ?

    I've done / booked

    registry office

    reception / evening do / dj

    sent save the dates

    got invites ready to be sent out next year

    bought centerpieces - vases/mirrors tealight holders (just need flowers from my dads garden)

    bought dress & shoes

    bought page boy outfits

    ordered cake & got topper

    got all the glass wear & bags for the sweetie buffet

    ordered flowers for bouquets & button holes

    booked photographer (TOG)

    made the favours

    ummmmmmmmm

    think thats it?

    Hi Guys,

    We have just changed our date to 29/12/2012, we have only the church and venue booked at the mo. After reading everyones post I am feeling very unorganised, trouble is I am not the most decissive person in the world, and the more I research things the more confused I am getting!

    Still have to book a Marquee, Caterer, Disco/Band, Cars, Invites, plus all the extra bits there is to arrange, not to mention Dress and Bridesmaid Dresses, oh my god panic!!! Please tell me i'm not on my own with my lack of organisation!!! ?
