2013....

I've sorted my venue and that's it so far. Meeting TOGs soon and going dress shopping tomorrow, eek!!!

I feel quite organised cos I've planned a lot in my head. I still feel like I've get ages to go (being the last 2013 wedding of the year so far on the hitched list!) but I know te time will fly by

We've got these sorted:

• Best Man and Bridesmaids Gifts
• Invitations
• Started buying items for the centrepieces as and when we see them

I can't wait to start trying on dresses, I've desperately wanted to start looking already but I'm going to hold off until we've got a year to go ?

I've been so pleased with the Best Man and Bridesmaids gifts that we have bought. We exchanged our Tesco Clubcard Vouchers for Vouchers for Goldsmiths and we managed to get them all without spending a penny! They're all absolutely beautiful too ?

We are gettig married in Aug 2013, so far we have

I'm an art teacher so found i want to do a lot of the crafty things myself and it translates well into cake making too so far!

One thing we found is prices keep going up so we are securing prices this year by booking now. Sales are great and many end of season stuff last year and this year will still work for our date, things like paper, decorations etc!

Still so much to do though, particularly as I'm making things myself and I like to flit from one make to another!

I am hoping to be getting married in September 2013, but as of yet nothing is booked and this thread has terrified me in to realising I have to get a move on.... I've looked at a few menus and caterers, but not made any definite decisions yet!

We are getting married in August 2013 and I think I am getting there now! I was keen to start going with things but also reluctant to book everything immediately incase we changed our mind so:

Venue booked first - did that in October last year about 2 months after being engaged as we wanted quite a specific time in the summer for work / OH childcare arrangements and to allow us to go on honeymoon when we wanted.

Colour scheme chosen - this took a bit of persuading for OH!

Vases/Jars bought for sweetie table as I found exactly what I wanted and was desperate to start buying something.

Part of table decorations bought as they were a bargain in Sainsburys!

Buttons bought to make my FG's button bouquets.

Photographer booked as he is a friend and will be coming to the wedding anyway.

and today I think I have found my dress on my first shopping trip! Going back tomorrow to try it on with my mum, dad and FMIL so by the end of tomorrow I may have also picked my dress!

Everything else we have ideas for and contacts but have not booked anything else. I am enjoying doing a bit at a time and spending the time looking around and Love the fact that I don't feel rushed about it!

I am way behind all of you guys =s should probably start worrying a bit more! ?
