Hi everyone!
I am getting married on 24 May 2014 in Venice and then having a big do back here near to home. Dan and I have been together 13 years now and finally have decide that we really should get married now! We have been renovating our house which have taken several years but we have pretty much finished that for now so we can finally get the wedding planned. We are having a church blessing and wedding receiption when we return from Venice - having decided to marry there as we wanted a small intimate wedding and love Venice. We originally had the wedding booked for 2010 but the house was costing too much and we had to postpone so we have everything booked here and have paid about 40% in deposits so have decided on a big do on our return.
My question is about the reception back here - I was thinking of booking Matt Johnson - a wedding singer/DJ - but I am now a bit unsure. A few people I have mentioned it to said they think that live singing would "stop the flow " of the party in the evening and maybe kill the mood. He does 1 1/2 set of singing in roughly a 4 1/2 hour set so 30 mins every hour or so. What do you all think? Is it a good idea?
