Im getting married in 2014 on 14th June, im so excited im planning already

I'm 23rd May 2014. I've already booked venue, and bought all but 2 of my centrepieces! I'm getting quotes from photographers and DJ's at the moment. Trying to do it a bit at a time so I'm all chilled out by the time the wedding comes along!

I have managed to buy my tiara and im gunna start looking at materials for save the date and invitations.

Im getting married on the 12th september 2014, i have so far sorted out my center pieces, dj, venue, got all the bits to make my invites and talbe planner, and also table names and all the bits to make my candles, i have my shoes and tiara. we cant book the registrar until september and we are currently getting prices for photographer and string quartet

Hi I'm Amber and my fiance Warren are planning on getting married (finally!) in 2014 but haven't booked anything yet!

We are date twins pinkfrost !!, im due to get married on the 14th June 2014 too and have already started planning my big day it's never too soon to get started and it will come round quicker than you think !! x x

I'm hoping for the 28th march 2014. Then it'll be exacty 11 years since i got together with my OH. Nothing booked yet but we're going to start looking at venues soon so we can get the date we want. Exciting stuff!

I found my venue on saturday! Im sooo excited cos i walked into the place & imediately fell in love, it made all the other places id looked at look crap!

Hi I'm getting married on 19th July 2014. I'm so excited and I can't wait to start doing more preparations. So far I've booked the venue and looking into photographers and caterers. Also going to be making my own bouquets for myself and my bm's so I've got my inspiration now got to order flowers for a trial run.

I'm 24th May too so far we've provisionally booked the church and reception venue. We haven't paid deposits on them yet as it's so far away they said they will ring us if anybody else asks and we can just confirm and pay deposit then. The reception venue is providing the meal, so we just picked our menu from their choices (which were exactly what we would have picked anyway), the DJ and even some of the decorations so we just have to tell them what we want closer to the date.

I've found my dress and bridesmaids dresses but they are being made to order so we're waiting til nearer the time to make sure they fit perfectly. Also picked the flowers for bouquets, button holes and decorating the church.

I spent most of yesterday and today doing paper mock-ups of our invites and playing around with wording and the order of information, so just waiting for some card samples to be sent next week so I can really get crafty

I've found some party favours that I want for the sit down meal but they are boy and girl ones, so can't order anything until I know who's coming as we haven't finalised the guest list yet. Tempted by the idea of a sweet buffet, but not sure it is worth it with having a desert with my sit down meal. There aren't any deserts in the evening buffet though so I might just get a couple of smaller jars and tongs for each table for the evening reception as favours.

Sorry this is so long. Got a bit carried away and started thinking "out loud" (not sure what the typing equivalent is ? x

We get married on 6th September 2014 and I can't wait. Wedding venue booked, guest list finalised as we're doing it abroad so not really able to be flexible. Only people we haven't sorted yet are our friends, some of them are in long term relationships, others just starting off so won't be sorting the guestlist for friends until next year.

I can't wait, my Mum keeps reminding me I've got 2 years and to not bore people with it but I can't help it.

Flowers are picked (peace roses - my Grandma's favourite) but I don't speak with the florist until 8 months before the wedding. Can't wait!!

We're getting Married 03 May 2014 and have Church, Venue, Photographer and Band booked.... but does anyone else feel like their beginning to plan too early? Or get slightly overwhelmed at the sheer amount of "stuff" to do? I know they're kinda opposite ends of the spectrum, but I get both feelings ?

Got engaged on just under a month ago after 4 years together and we are hoping to get married on what will be our 6th anniversary on 23 June 2014! Not booked or planned anything yet, just been looking at ideas but am wanting to at least book any venues soon so that we don't have to worry about that!

Agree with doodlegram that it seems really early to start planning, but then think about what actually needs doing and would rather spread out the organisation over time or I would probably end up freaking out!

We're looking at 31st July 2014 and will be booking the venue in the next few weeks. I'm turning into such an organised person! My mum is driving me crazy trying to find a MOB outfit and has already ordered one to try on! I haven't even started looking for my dress yet!

Disney, my mum is exactly the same. In fact MOG is even worse. If a day goes by without her texting me a picture of an outfit she wants it's a miracle. So excited planning everything, but I feel like I'm a bit premature doing things because it's still over 2 years away Happy planning! xx

I'm getting married 26th July 2014.

I really want to start booking the big things as I'm worried I wont get what I want if I leave it longer. My family think I am mad booking now though but its only because my sister got married in December 2012 and she only starting booking things in the last 6months but I think thats easier as December isnt so popular and she still could choose who she wanted and what etc. I am already finding that things are booked and I have to look elsewhere. I hate it when people say 'so when are you getting married' and when you tell them they comment on how early or organised you are..... In my opinion I have to be! Is anyone else getting that?

Hey I'm getting married June next year and have had the date set since march last year. I've booked th big things, cars, venue etc as I also was worried and you'd be surprised how fast it gets booked up still got lots to do!

Is it family saying you're booking early? Ours said the same (Oct 2014) but when we went to a wedding fayre last weekend, the suppliers were commenting how we've left it late. There were ladies there enquiring for 2015/16!!

Yeah family mostly. They are telling me to slow down as I have ages to go. I havent booked much in my opinion. I've booked the venue, videographer and photographers. Currently booking ceremony/church and transport. I think I will leave the rest until summertime then.

My parents were the same... But now they see why I've done it. I'm not made of money and no way would I be able to pay all at once. So might aswel spread the payments out. Least then it's done and I don't have the hassle and the stress to think and forget things sometimes an offer will come up and won't come back.. You'd loose out then? My parent kept saying you've got 2 years I was like no its a year and a half ... Now it's just over a year :-) and who's panicking now - them!
