2014 Florida Bride Introduction!

Hi!

I've been lurking for a couple of months and thought I'd take the plunge to introduce myself.

My name is Susie and I'm 26. My partner Adam is 29 and we got engaged during our latest holiday to Florida in August. We got engaged on-board the Grand I Yacht right before the Wishes fireworks at Magic Kingdom in Disney on 6th August 2012. It was the most amazing, romantic night ever! I had resigned myself to the fact that we would never get married as we had been together for 10 years and there had not been so much as a tiny hint that it may happen...ever! So this was a massive shock for me!

I am so excited to be planning our wedding and we have decided to get married in Florida on 18th August 2014. We are getting married at Disney's Wedding Pavilion within the grounds of the Grand Floridian Hotel and luckily have around 25 family and friends coming to join us.


I am so excited! Smiley smile

    Welcome *waves*. What a lovely story ? I am getting married this August in Florida on Cocoa beach. Disney's wedding pavilion - very nice! I hope your planning goes well.

    Hi

    We just got engaged... and I can not think of a better place to get married than Florida (although I am toying with Ibiza).

    Can you just give me some info on how you found your wedding venue and an idea of costs. Although Florida is hugely appealing we are just worried about the cost to friends and family....

    I think we are looking to set the date for around June 2015....

    Hi Mandy,

    Congratulations on your engagement! Such an exciting time isn't it?

    Adam and i have been visiting Orlando in particular every other year since we first got together 10 years ago. We often travel over with family and stay in the Disney area mostly.

    My wedding is being planned by http://disneyweddings.disney.go.com but it's not a 'cheesy' Disney affair as some may assume. The locations and service that Disney offer are amazing and we feel reassured using them and having them help plan our big day for us.

    We have around 25-30 friends and family flying over so it's not a cheap option but they are all making the most of the opportunity as many of them have young children and wouldn't ordinarily choose to visit Florida/Disneyworld if we weren't giving them the extra shove!
