24 days to go and no dress

Lucieaew, 5 September, 2012 at 21:16 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi all,

I need an objective opinion. I am having a Ronald Joyce dress which will arrive next week according to the dress shop. I have phoned about 5 times since July and think I have been very patient but I think they are taking advantage of how laid back I am.

Has any one else had a Ronald Joyce dress which has taken longer to arrive than expected.

Oh what a nightmare for you! I've just ordered my Ronald Joyce dress, I get married in April. Hope it arrives after reading this. I'd be going tot he shop and asking, as you will maybe need alterations yet too?! X

I would now be phoning them multiple times a day until they tell me its arrived that way they will try to get it quicker as they will be sick of you calling them.

Get to the shop. Its harder to fob people off face to face. Tell them this is stressing you out and you want answers. Good luck!

What are the dress shop actually saying with regards to timelines. I'm assuming they have been in contact with the supplier?

What are the timelines for getting alterations if any are needed? Are you using the shop or a seperate seamstress (if you need changes)

I have a wedding dress by Ronald Joyce and it came in when they said it would - it took about 4-5 months to come in.

Definately chase them up if you're worried.

I feel like a dope now. I phoned up the dress shop this morning after having a terrible nights sleep. Told them I think they should be insisting it gets couriered, how am I going to get it altered, I need a guarentee on the date of delivery etc etc.

They phoned me back promising me that it would be here by Tuesday at the latest so felt better, then when I came out of work had another voicemail to tell me it had arrived. oh the relief!!

I did a little dance, and Im going to try it on saturday
