26 days to go and....

MrsP2012, 11 August, 2012 at 22:42 Posted on Planning 0 2

.... my pregnant bridesmaid only just fits in her dress. Had a mad panic, as we bought them (3 BM dresses) in the Debenhams sale and they are now discontinued. Searched high and low on the net for them with no joy. So in the end i found a perfect colour match in BHS and they were half price, so i have given in and bought new dresses with only 26 days to go. I have paid special delivery to have them by Tuesday as i already have an appointment booked with the seamstress to have the length taken up for my 2 short arse BM's. So fingers crossed the bigger size fits and we dont have to pay for too many alterations.

This is the new dress...

So now have 3 BM dresses that i will be selling in the near future (after the wedding) so if any one is interested heres a pic. They are all brand new, with tags, all still in original plastic. I would like £100 for all 3. They were originally £80 each

Size 8,10, 16

Oh no! At least you are getting it sorted, and both dresses are lovely. One of my bridesmaids is also pregnant, we ordered the dress a size bigger as she was trying for a baby and went for empire line so an expanding tummy wouldn't be a problem - but we didn't realise her boobs would get so much bigger!!! Really hoping it still fits in 13 days time!

One of my bridesmaids has been trying for a baby, I was really stressing about what to do about dresses. In the end went for a twist wrap dress so that it would still fit, but 3 months to go and no announcements as yet... Ours are BHS ones too.

Lucky that you were able to find such a good colour match. Bit frustrating about the cost implications though

My BM has been trying for a baby for at least 2-3years. So i was really pleased for her but flipping eck the timing could have been better. haha. So pleased i found these dresses, went in to BHS yesterday to see the colour (as we ordered them offline) and its a perfect match. And even better still they werent half price in the shop...Bonus!! xx
