I think for me once christmas is here and gone it'll seem more real, I still haven't quite clicked I'm getting married yet! Probably because I have nothing else to do now until January, so just waiting around for some more action lol.

Does that mean 221 sleeps for me?!

I tried on my dress on Friday. It is even more beautiful than I remember, and I really didn't want to take it off. My CBM was visiting, so I showed her the venue and we were really wishing the time away. Now she's gone back home I'm getting all scared again. Not long till we're saying 6 months and X weeks...

What's everyone doing for favours, i can't make my mind up...was going to have miniatures but can't afford to think about each individual taste, was thinkin of just getting baileys or baileys and one other then people can swap if they like?

    any thoughts appreciated Smiley winking

Hello. We are have lottery tickets or scratch cards. They will be in envelopes with our guests names on to double up as name cards Smiley smile

Baileys sounds lovely. We have a chocolate fountain but the people who are doing it also have a Baileys fountain complete with chocolate cups, how yummy does that sound?!??! Smiley laugh

We are growing chilli plants to act as place cards and give as favours. Feel a bit of an idiot as still haven't decided what flowers to have. We want cheap, local, fresh and traditional. OH doesn't want pink, blue or 'gaudy' colours, I don't want yellow but do want some colour.

I haven't been on here for quite a while and reading through this has made me stomach flip a few times - with nerves and excitement I think! I only got engaged in June and am getting married on May 19th, so it has all gone so quickly!! Is anybody else getting married on the 19th? xx

Hey, I've been in hiding for a few weeks, had some things to suss out...all wedding related! Thought it was time to see how it's all going for you girls.

As a friend is making my cakes, I've just purchased my cake stand...shocked at how pricey they are but hopefully I can see on ebay after the big day! I've spent months worrying over my wedding favours and decided I would make jam & chutney's but I've decided now that I just don't think I can master it and I'll fill the jars I've purchased with some retro sweets and maybe a sweetie stand for the evening guests. I'm crap at making decisions and will probably change my mind again. Invitations arrived last week from vista print (very impressed) so once January comes I shall be posting them out. I think, but I can't be sure I'm pretty organised lol. Have to get my boys there suits but may possibly wait a few months in case they have a growth spurt!

    You??

I've just had my sparkling wine delivered from tescos. I now have all my white, rose and sparkling. It was on offer. Martini Asti £3.50pb! I also got clubcard points AND cashback!!!! And its to go in our passionfruit mimosas for our welcome drinks Smiley smile

    Whats everyone else having???

Honeybee - Boys suits I'm unsure about, possibly Next/Marks and Spencer or even ebay...need to look more into it really. Think It depends what they have in at the time of the wedding and if they will go with the colour scheme. I have a 10yr old and a 18 month old and don't fancy buying them now for them to grow. Maybe hit the sales!

I haven't got to worry about purchasing wine, all in thank god. I'm struggling with my wedding favours at the moment. Don't want them to look cheap but I have to watch how much per person!

I really wanted H2B and the boys to have matching suits but i think i'll just have to settle with the boys being matching. H2B would like to wear a tailcoat and they have some for small children in BHS so might have to get them one too!

We partly chose our venue because we could have our own wine, caterers etc and we are very lucky that we don't get charged corkage so it works out so much cheaper plus we have the exact wine that we (I, h2b is a beer drinker!) want. Where abouts in the country are you?? I'm in North Essex

I'm in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Don't think I've seen any other hitchers from these parts...well not yet anyway!

Think I'd prefer our venue to be like that as Wine is super expensive but suppose I'll only get married once ?
