OMG - just saw my ticker! Less than 10 months!! YIPPEEE

I am august 13th and was thinking about sending invites, late jan early feb, as worried about people booking holidays.....

My concern was holidays - we have sent save the dates to the day guests but evening guests are still really important!

April sounds a good time! I was thinking June but people might be on holiday then!

I have done quite alot:

Flowers

Know tablecentres and got most of the stuff just need candles

Invites - Im unsure of buying or making?! I might buy invites but then make the stuff for the day?!

I know the BM dresses and ordering in Jan

Got shoes for me and BMs and bags

Hi - i'm 28th August. We're having a late ceremony with only close family members so there's no problem with holidays etc. As it's a late ceremony we're just having a BBQ at about 6.30pm and literally everyone who's coming to that are already aware - so we'll probably send out invites in March/Apr with an RSVP for May as we have to let the venue know numbers etc by middle of June.

As for where I'm up to, well I took a week off work the other week and accomplished quite a lot. OH has now realised that if we can afford to pay for things now and take advantage of this year's prices then it's best to do it, as the prices will only be hiked up in Jan.

BMs dressed spotted and will take them to try on in Feb, then order slightly nearer the time as they're being made for them (teenage BMs so still growing)

OHs wedding ring bought - mine chosen and will buy in next couple of weeks
Invites - seen a design that i like and have found a lady who is local to me who will make them for a very reasonable price
Table Decs - still undecided whether to go for them or not as guests will only be seated for 2hrs - if I do get them, I have an idea of what I want, and the same lady making the stationery can also do the table decs.

I've started a timeline so i can keep on top of when things need to go out, be ordered final payments made etc, so hopefully will be uber organised!

I dont think i've done much really lol

Have booked the church and reception venue, brought the invitations, guest book...

Booked the photographer, been to one session of trying on dresses! Oh and my H2b's relations are doing the catering...But other than that, i've not done anything else I dont think

Am I really behind?

Hey twinnie! We're into the 200s in days left now, 297 to be precise lol

We're sending STDs in the next couple of weeks (when they're finished!)

We're probably sending our invites out around Feb/March. I'm worried about holidays and it being Bank Hol weekend as well. Plus the earlier they're sent, the more time people have to book hotel rooms and if anyone can't make it, it's still early enough to bump up evening guests without them feeling they're just making up the numbers!!

How are you getting on? We've managed quite a bit recently.

Venue, photographer, cars, suits all booked. Given notice at the registrars. Chosen rings and honeymoon, just need to put deposits down. Got my dress!! Choosing BMs dresses in a fortnight.

Have yet to book florist and sort a cake design out, but I know whos making that.

I know what I'm having for my centrepieces and other table decorations, just need to get them but that can wait for a bit.

I think that's about it but quite pleased with the progress so far ?

I'm kinda close - 12 August.

I am thinking we will send / give invitations out in early April too, as out RSVP is middle of June.

I am also doing well with the bookings - got most things done now:

Photo guest book booked

Venue and church sorted

Cake chosen and booked

Menu choices at the venue all decided

Had my first hair trial (I'm going to need many!)

Organised my old/new/borrowed/blue

Cars x2 chosen and booked

Chair covers

Booked and paid for all 7 suits this weekend

DJ is booked, but still wobbling over whether we need a band too

Florist is booked and we know exactly what we want and have paid deposit on that too

Most of the wedding party gifts are sorted

My outfit is brought - dress, shoes (x2), undies, garter, veil, jewelry

Hotel for the wedding night

Honeymoon booked, and all the parking / pre travel hotels booked

Rings - got OHs and mine is currently being made

Invites are on my desk and I am in the process of making matching placecards

I'm 27th August & everything is finally starting to come together now

The registry office is booked for 2pm, putting a deposit down on the reception venue on 15th November (which is payday!), the photographer is booked, the cake-maker is booked.

I'm still trying to decide on a dress-maker at the moment & a silversmith for our wedding rings. Once the reception venue is booked, I'll crack on with the invites. My parents are paying for the honeymoon so I'm leaving that to them.

I can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying!

When you ladies are getting hitched I'll be on my hen weekend!!! ?
