3 Mobile network

Are they any good? I am due to upgrade in October (and cannot wait to get away from T Mobile) 3 seem to have the best iPhone deals but I know they used to have really bad signal etc, is that still the case?

I like you heard that it used to be bad but now not sure. There are signal checkers like this one https://ukmobilecoverage.co.uk/map/three but not sure how accurate they are.

I'm with 3, they definitely could be better but are much better than when a friend had one a few years ago. My house is in a little country village and it's not the best here but outside its ok.

3 used to be really bad for coverage but are actually pretty good now. I left them 3 years ago for o2 just because they were cheaper. o2 are brill. excellent customer service. Left them for orange as they were cheaper this time. Good coverage but average customer service.

M is on them on the one plan (properly unlimited data) and he can't sing their praises enough

We are all on 3, if you go into a 3 store there can do a signal search for you. That searches their masts and not just the shared ones. ( they did it for me recently to explain why I kept losing signal at work and at my moms).

Your coverage depends more on the buildings around you than the geographical location.

Personally after having been with 3 before, I wouldn't touch them with an extended bargepole. All sims need taking out occasionally and the contacts cleaned and then put back in place. I went to do this to discover that they had glued the sim in. I went back to the shop with the faulty phone(well it wasn't faulty, just the sim to phone connection) to be told...You need to buy a new handset.......I told them where to go...

I have had nothing but bad experiences with 3, their customer service is shocking! As soon as my contract is up I will move.

I've been with 3 over a year, had no problems what so ever, and the customer service in store has been great!

I'm with three. It's the best network I've been on, and it's loads faster than vodafone (Ant has them). The only issue is that it gets spotty covereage outside main city centres, and unfortunately one of the bad patches is.. my flat. d'oh!

    Still, I'd reccommend them.

One added detail...I am doing some corporate work in central London at a prestigious location....the only reception possible from any of the providers is by O2......which screws me....
