3 months to go...

woowoo83, 5 July, 2013 at 09:30 Posted on Planning 0 5

... and starting to panic! At the 6 month mark I was practically mocking all the women who get worked up about organising a wedding and get stressed about it - I am now one of these people! I feel like there still so much to do and 3 months seems like so little time!

    Hiya,

Why don't you make a list on here of all the things you have left to do, and the lovely hitched ladies (and men) can maybe offer some tips on how to manage it? And plus writing it all down can sometime make things a bit less 'fuzzy'.

    Sam x

I have (many) spreadsheets so I think I'm quite organised but I just see how much other people have done and start to hyperventilate! I think I'm perhaps slightly neurotic!

All the big stuff is sorted but it seems to be the smaller things which take up more time!

So I think writing on here what still needs to be done may be useful as it will probably stop me panicking!

Centre pieces - Have an idea in my head of using jars and decorating these. Currently waiting for lace, ribbons and candles to be delivered.

Cake - A friend has offered to do this but she lives in London (I'm in Leeds) and we haven't actually discussed what I want!

Wedding rings - Have arrived today, I'm happy with mine but currently is disagreements with OH as he doesn't want to wear one - anyone else have this problem?

    Flowers - Meeting florist tomorrow

Make up - Meeting make up artist tomorrow

Men's suits - leaving this up to OH and as he's so laid back he's practically horizontal he doesn't see any urgency in sorting this!

And actually, I think that's it which really isn't that bad - is it?! I think the centre pieces are what are bothering me most, I'm sure once everything arrives and I get cracking on them I'll be fine!

No panic! In fact, 3 months is a lot of time to organize everything just the way you want! Good luck Smiley laugh

I had the exact same reaction when I hit the 3 month mark at the end of last month. My to do list is 3 pages long & all I did was read through it & panic. This week I've actually done some of the things on the list & suddenly feel much calmer. Tonight me & my Sis are going through what's left & making a plan. Why don't you get together with your chief bridesmaid & do the same? x

I don't have any bridesmaids! We're having a fairly small scale wedding and keeping to a very tight budget, I do have very good friends who would be happy to help but I think at the moment it's more that there's stuff I need to do but I can't yet - I really want to get cracking on the centre pieces but obviously can't until all the stuff arrives!

Sounds like you're totally on it though, spreadsheets 'n' all. Just keep tackling the list week by week - best of luck Smiley winking
